Was Spike invited to the wedding?

I dont remember this being brought up on the show, so correct me if im wrong.


But do you think spike was invited to Anya's and Xander's wedding?

I think he was invited by some one who wasn't Xander, or some one mentioned it while he was around and he went something like that.

What do you think?

I'm pretty sure Spike was invited. Although Xander didn't like him the two did have a working relationship and Spike and Anya always seemed to get along. I don't think he would've turned up uninvited and due to Anya's obsessiveness over the wedding she probably would have ensured that no one got in unless they were invited!

I think Anya probably put him on the guest list and Xander didn't argue. Besides, I don't think Xander *would* have argued. At least he knew Spike was actively working on the side of the Scoobies. A lot of the guests were actively working on the other side. By that point in time, Spike was for all intents and purposes a genuine Scooby.

More than likely, Anya invited Spike on the theory that the more gueste that showed up, the more wedding gifts she and Xander would receive.

He must have been invited because after he talks to Buffy and offers to go she says he has a right to stay because he was invited or something like that. but he leaves anyway.

I think he was invited, but I also think it was probably Anya's idea. She was obsessive over the wedding and wanted as many guests as possible. The bigger the wedding the better. Plus it equalled more gifts. Xander probs just went along with it with a weary sigh as you guys said as that seemed to be what he did for most of Anya's crazy wedding decisions. I honestly don't think there was anyone that wasn't invited to the wedding. haha. I mean, in the original script it even says Giles was invited but he couldn't make it because he was fighting some 'daemon'. So it's more than likely Spike was invited. How he got there in daylight I don't know- sewer systems leading directly to the wedding perhaps?

Well the weather wasnt the best it was raning later , might have been enough shadow , because i doubt his date would go through the sewers too. Who knows.

Spike never really seemed to have a problem traveling by day though, he got places using a blanket or sometimes he drove in his car with the windows tinted (though I'm not sure if he still had his car at that point in time).

I don't think it would have bothered Spike if he didn't get an invite, if he wanted to go he would've. He only wanted to see Buffy anyway.
