Was that the only reason?

I wasn't sure if this should go in season 3 or season 4, so I just put it here.

Okay, I was thinking in 'The Prom' Jonathan gives Buffy her award, right? And then in 'Superstar' they say Buffy gave Jonathan the award, I was wondering if that the only reason he gives her it or was it so he could have more of a roll or what?

I think they hadn't considered "Superstar" yet when they were writing "The Prom." I think Jonathan gave it to her because of their interlude in the bell tower in "Earshot." But that sort of thing was what pissed me off most about "Superstar"; Jonathan stole everyone else's thunder rather than coming up with cool things that he could do. Instead of being just cooler than everyone else, he had to knock them down a few pegs, especially Buffy.

Hello Cutie
Haha after reading that I really wanted to say 'and for some of that you were channelling your mother'.. well if your mother was Mrs Rosenberg anyway. But yes, I agree!
Haha BB calm down!! 🙂 Although I completely agree with you.

I think the reason Jonathon did that though is because he saw them as everything he wanted to be, so in his dream world he became exactly that.. it wasnt so much about knocking them down a few pegs, more about idolising them (Buffy especially) so much that he wanted to be that character... in a twisted way, it was kinda a compliment to them all that he took all their cool things instead- if you get what I mean.
