I've worked with a LOT of families where someone was dying.
Everyone grieves uniquely (all relationships being unique), but it isn't uncommon for a person who is grieving to lash out at the people they love most and even keep it up for a while...even, like, a year or two.
They just can't bear it. I think that if they felt the pain, they'd just fall apart, have a breakdown, whatever you call it. So they channel it into anger and they're just so full of rage that it has to go somewhere. It's almost always siblings, but can be directed elsewhere (e.g. a surviving parent.)
I've tried to help and succeeded. I've tried to help and failed. But, I've seen it. A lot. I get that.
But they just did too much too poor Willow.
It was bad enough that Willow switched sexualities, but okay, it's TV, I'll swallow that. Never liked Drugged Willow (yawn.) But Crazy-Evil Goth Killer Willow? No, thanks.
Willow was always near and dear to my heart and that was just too much pie crust for one bite.
