Tonights episode of Dollhouse has already been put up on the Fox website so you can watch it early.

Here is the link. I haven't watched as I am at work so hopefully I am not mistaken but from the article I read it sounded as though this is the full thing.

FOX on Demand

Enjoy!

ARGH! Just when I'd settled in to do some writing! Darn you, DDD! Must . . . not . . . click . . . link!

In fact, I should probably close the browser window entirely until I'm done with my 2,000 words for the day. 😛

Sometimes living in Ireland is very inconvenient!

This is a strange turn of events though, I've never heard of a network adopting this tactic...perhaps Fox is more behind the show than we thought?

It is a strange move that i wouldnt have expected until networks have truly embraced the internet. Surely this will only have a negative impact on ratings....that said... im having more and more respect for fox everyday with these kinds of moves because it shows they really are trying to change the way we view TV, or at least embrace the change that is occuring. Either that, or its a mistake by FOX and an executive is getting fired right now 😛

If they don't...then what's the point?

Lol

The BBC are good as they count all programmes watched via iplayer in thier ratings which put Being Human at the top and allowed it a new season 🙂 I think all networks should count their internet watchers in their ratings 🙂

Agreed.

I would assume though that the numbers who watch it early on the site will go in with the numbers who watch tonight and those who Tivo it?

I highly doubt it
Kean agrees: If they don't...then what's the point?
Well I dont really know the answer to that.

But neilson ratings are just that, ratings provided by nelson results. Internet views whether they are hulu or Fox.com are never included in the total million hits or demo rankings so those are the numbers we are gonna see ratings wise.

If FOX release their internet numbers, i dare say they will have been increased, but either way the hit (probably pretty small) will be evident in the nelson results.

Some may argue now that the internet isnt going to have that big of an effect...well, times are changing. In fact, LOST got 1million 1 week views to just the ABC website alone, add hulu's and iTunes on top of that and that makes up a pretty big number who are viewing online.

It definitely needs to be considered...it must be 4 years since I followed a show as it aired on tv in my area, any tv shows I follow I do so through the net. It looks like (slowly but surely) that the execs are copping on to the internet viewership. Long ways to go yet though.

yea they definately need to be considered. I think FOX will be the leaders in doing just that...but its still early
No no, don't watch it early. Sit your butts down and watch it while it's on TV tonight (or next week, if it's done again)! Seriously, we need every person we can get on their coolios watching it when it's on at 9PM.

But thanks for posting though, that's neat! 😀
