As predicted by The Spankster, they are not bringing Wayward Sisters to series.

The CW has decided not to move forward with Wayward Sisters, the Supernatural spin-off that aired its backdoor pilot in January and followed Jody Mills as she led Claire, Alex, and others through various supernatural adventures. Wayward executive producer Robert Berens was the one to break the news on social media. “The CW has decided not to proceed with a series order for Wayward Sisters,” he wrote. “Honestly — I’m heartbroken. I’m confused. And, at least for the moment — I’m angry.”

Sorry to all the people that foolishly believed they would actually make it a spinoff.

Im sorta happy with Wynonna Earp and The 100 for strong female lead shows right now but I did like the idea of expanding the SPN-verse. And wayward sisters was a better idea than the last one they tried.

I looked at what else was canned and the outcry is incredibly dramatic haha. Way more people using the net now than when firefly was axed 😋

Lucifer was ok, but really nothing more than the done to death cop show. Inhumans only needed one season, i enjoyed it but I'd rather see a larger central show (shield) go on than more of this one. The rest i didnt watch. I duno anything about which network is which. As long as SPN is going on a while longer, I am a happy fan. I didnt realise its ratings were low, so i hope more people find their way back to it.

Lucifer was fun, but 3d season was really bad

Ah, yes. Humble predictions delivered without the sligthest hint of smugness 😛

Oh, trust me, this is not over. Not even close.

Haha, why does it feel like we have reason to worry and should all be talking to you in sweet, gentle voices right now?

Shame about the show, I didn't see the backdoor pilot but considering how long SPN has been running I'm surprised they didn't bet, for at least a season, on this spinoff.

I can honestly say that it sucks to be right all the time. It's a burden I have to live with though. The new female-led CW shows all sound better than another tired SPN cast-off. And considering they want their demographic to be young males the fact they have four new female led genre shows is pretty damned good.

I'm not surprised, supernatural doesn't have great ratings, just a loud fanbase.
Why does it keep getting renewed then? Like, I always assumed they kept the showing going for so long because it did have great ratings? If that's not the case then it really should have ended long ago!

Thank God Wayward Sisters DIDN'T make it to series. Jody Mills is annoying, Alex is blah, and Claire HAS to be the most inane teenager I've seen in years; though her character (a different actress) was amazing in The Rapture (I'm referring to when Castiel briefly used her as a vessel), that's about it. I have a special dislike for the older Claire...maybe it's the actress, but she just rubs me the wrong way.

There's NOTHING that Wayward Sisters could possibly do that would be entertaining. Basically, it would just be a female version of Sam, Dean, and Cas. For God's sake, we've been watching characters investigate supernatural occurrences since 2005! We don't need ANOTHER CW series that explores the same topic. Plus, Jody Mills is a DULL character. Kill her off! But she'd probably be brought back to life...like so many others on SPN. Speaking of which, SPN should've been cancelled after S7. It's just repetitive crap now. And the "boys" are looking REALLY old and tired. Especially Jared.

Some of this season (s13) has "all time fave" episodes in it. Im glad its still going and enjoy it. I'd have to see more of other shows of the same genre to know if its crap by today's standards, but as a regular consumer, it's doing the job. Sex Appeal of all the actors has dropped over time, they still provide a bunch of greater good characters to watch. It hits just the right balance of scare and gore for me. I find some shows just miss the mark, and its more uncomfortable than enjoyable to watch. If I am not in the mood for it, I can move away and come back without any major changes - the boys are still fighting evil, and still mostly winning with the fan favourites popping in and a few deaths. The fandom they have created can be a lot of fun. The actors/creators have hit the jackpot with a show like this and I hope it continues to pay off for them.
