meaning of life....of course we start off with the easy question. *sighs* thinking on weekends...

it depends on the person. some people find meaning in kids, some in work, some in success, and im sure there's other stuff that gives people at least a sense of meaning, like helping others, or...something....
i dunno. i prolly make no sense but...

I have been reading a book discussing Materialism and in studies and surveys. Each shows that, reguardless of age, gender, and ethnicity, that those who usally seek out material gain, success, and peer acceptance live less than happy lives, no matter how much they gain.
 
maybe cuz they're basing their happiness on other people's standards?
i mean if you constantly try to be what someone else wants, you're never yourself, and its gotta be hard to be really happy then, i guess,i dunno...im still working on not trying to go by other's rules and stufff....but...i do know you shouldn't base your happiness on other peoples ideals. that i don't but...yea...anyway
