Weakest BTVS episode that Whedon directed? Why?
When She Was Bad. I don't hate it and I think Sarah was a believable Faith but Eliza was not a good Buffy. Bugs me.

If I had to pick one...Restless.


Which one of the above Whedon episodes do you find to be the most emotionally moving? Once more with feeling. When they got the mustard out I was so relieved. Real answer is The Body.

The episode you're thinking of is Who Are You - When She Was Bad was the first episode of season 2. And we'll just disagree about Who Are You - it's my favorite episode of the series and I love Eliza's acting in it, so we'll just have to disagree there.

The Freshman. I didn't even realize that Joss directed this. I can remember something significant about the directing style of every other episode on that list, but not so much in this one. Oh well, that isn't totally true. But I do believe that it's the weakest episode that he's directed. Also, I feel as if a lot of people are answering this question from a writing standpoint. Some of you may have found Restless boring or pointless...you cannot deny the kick ass cinematography and just...direction! It is such a realistic interpretation of dreams...why? Because of how it was directed, written and shot. The lighting in it is also great, particularily in the scene when Anya and Giles are speaking French. A lot of great homages in that episode. It's number 2 on my list of his strongest episodes, The Body being number one.

The Gift. It's a great episode and the ending is great but it's never been one of my favorites.

Overrated=Hush,its a great ep but isn't as great as people say,essentially all it is is a silent movie ep which has been done before,not that big a deal really.

Emotional=The gift
 
Amends - it's cheesy and just quite a whiny episode in my opinion, I don't really enjoy the over dramatised Bangel-y bits of the episode (which is the majority of it, really)

Grave is a better episode than Chosen - Xander being the one to bring Willow back is amazing and it's the final part to a brilliant 3 parter.

Overrated Whedon episode - Well, Amends.

Most moving - The Body, easily. I regularly skip that episode as I just don't want to go watch Buffy in so much pain. It's too much for me sometimes
 
I always find it strange when people rip on "Amends" for being a Bangel-drama heavy episode when Buffy's other chief love interests, Riley and Spike, have PLENTY of cheesy moments as well.

Anne. I feel The Freshman did an ok job of setting up a season, where as Anne's pace just lost me. Plus I think Anne really shows just how much of an ensemble piece the show is, and how awkward it is when Buffy is out of that ensemble.

Grave, although I do believe Chosen was all sorts of right as the series finale.

Anne. Wait, is that even rated? I mean really? Ok, then, maybe The Gift. I mean, to me, there wasn't much stylized Joss direction in there. Maybe that's my dislike of Glory & s5 Dawnie showing.

The Body. I was heaving right along with SMG. Blows my mind every single time I watch it.
