Wear Purple in Honor of 7 Gay Teens Who Commited Suicide Due To Homophobia

I'm so glad that so many of you are wearing purple and expressing your support! I'm wearing my purple dress with pride. 🙂

Wierd that it's different dates for some of us. 😀 I didn't realise, with the time difference. 🙂 Here in Sweden it's 2 in the afternoon october 20th anyway. 🙂
 
Im wearing purple today. Im little disappointed at the lack of purple at my college. :/ oh well

I'm wearing purple today. It's awful that bullying (for whatever reason) can result in people taking their lives. Events like those suicides are inexcusable, a lot needs to be done to support people in danger of allowing bullies to motivate them to suicide.
 
Gah, I went through my whole closet this morning in search of something purple but as it turns out the only purple things I own are fishnets (TOO COLD) and the brim of a hat. I still wore the hat but I still would have liked something more. It looked more accidental than showing support.
 
As expected most people commenting on my shirt did so because of the team it belonged to. But one co-worker knew what I was talking about when I started to explain and shamefully admitted that she'd forgotten. And I told a few others the reason why I wore it. So it was a good thing at least.
 
I unfortunately don't even own anything purple. Realizing this today I am like what? I seriously thought I had something.
 
Some people I know are writing on themselves in purple marker because they don't have anything purple to wear... that could be an alternative for you guys who don't have purple clothes. (Although seriously, invest in purple clothes. Purple is the best color ever. haha)

I was thinking of painting my nails and I have to have purple eyeshadow somewhere. I usually buy those packs with all colors hmm.
I know Zobo I am getting some purple. December is my next serious shopping time and I am going to look for a purple hoodie something 🙂
 
I forgot to mention the kids. The ones I work with are 6 and 7 years old. I never told them exactly what the purple was for, just that it was all over the world. You can't help but smile when they come up to you and proudly tell you that they're wearing purple underwear or nail polish. These kids don't even know me yet.

Awnh, so cute!
I almost thought I didn't have any purple to wear, but I then remembered this purple shirt I have. Phew 🙂 So, when I go out later this afternoon to run some errands, I will definitely be wearing the one purple shirt I have. Thankfully, it's long-sleeve! 😀

I made a quick banner to showcase in my sig too 😀 It's not my best work, but it's the best I could come up with in such a short time frame 🙂

I'm wearing my shirt now. When I went to the store, I didn't see a single spec of purple on anyone. 🙁

Now my october the 20th is over. I'm so happy you all showed so much support both wearing purple clothes, talking with others about it and made banners. I feel really proud to be a part of BB today (and everyday 🙂).

I didn't see much purple in my town at all. But, turns out, our wear purple day isn't until next week here in Sweden. A little strange that they didn't sync it with the american one, but on the other hand, that means I get an extra chance to talk to people about this and show my support once again. Yay!
