Week 6 - Chapters 26-30 Discussion

It didn't really happened much during these chapters did it?
Only major thing was more back story which I still find rather uninteresting. So she died, surprise, surprise... lol

I actually liked getting that explanation. And I thought it was a better one than, “she died because she followed Mal on one of his wacky adventures after he stole her from Toby”. The other chapters were pretty short, but I thought they were fine.
 
I didn’t like it because it was just a long and awkward information dump, again, I think this backstory would’ve been better as a separate prequel novel where one could invest in the characters (beyond Mal) and see this more in a narrative, rather than as exposition for what’s going on now.
 
A lot of backstory in this part, good to get back to Mal though, but it's just not as interesting as what Book, Inara, Simon and River are doing.
