This is an episode that seems to be either loved or hated. While I think the pay-off was a bit simplistic considering the heavy build-up, I thought it was interesting and at times even creepy. What are people's thoughts on it? I really thought it was a perfect intro to The Gift...

I love the whole Spiral-WotW-The Gift triumvirate of goodness. It was a fantastic episode that made me actually like Buffy again. Willow got a lot of screen time without Tara too, which - as much as I like Tara - was quite refreshing and reminded me of the earlier seasons.

Joyce was, well, Joyce. You can always do with more Joyce.

I like it even more when it's shown on FX though, simply for the WTF? value. It's so harshly edited that it only lasts about 25 minutes. Willow keeps following Buffy to a door, then it cuts away, then she'll go on later about what Buffy "did" without ever actually explaining it!

Spike: “You’re not gonna get Dawn back anyway you slice it, Harris.”

Xander: “Good. Panic. That ought to help.”

Another example of Xander making so sense ☺ Spike is obviously not panicking..

I love how Willow takes charge.

I love when Spike says, “Is everyone here very stoned.” Lol I just like any story that has something to do with amnesia.

It’s interesting when Glory starts feeling guilty for how she’s treating Dawn. Brings more demension to her character.

That scene is so creepy when Buffy and Willow are in Dawn’s room and Buffy tries to smother Dawn...

I also love cliffhangers. An this episode sure has that.

Rating? I’d give it a 8/10. Great episode ☺

the last four episodes of the season were so awesome. so intense! it was just like BAM BAM BAM BAM. perfect lead-up to the gift.

tough love is one of my favorites. i like how it centered heavily on tara/willow and buffy/dawn, showing the two relationships...they're pretty similar. and it was sooooooo ANNOYING when willow couldn't get there in time...it was just one of those moments that you're watching it all go down and you're like "HURRY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

but the last three are all really cool too.
i didn't like weight of the world when i first saw it (i was 13) just as i didn't like restless a year before. now that i'm older i can get into them both and understand them much better.

i thought it was really notable that the moment buffy realized she "couldn't win" was really simple....it wasn't during some big fight. it was while she was returning a book to the stacks...and something just happened in her to make her lose esteem. perfect.
buffy breaking down in willow's lap was really sweet too. reminded me of season 3 'the prom' and now reminds me of the end of 'same time, same place.' i love when the core four show their love for each-other. it's always so sweet.

anyways, i love the episode now. when i was younger, i couldn't get into it.
i think back then i was really pissed that it was the series finale! blah.

This last few episodes are really good.

Glory makes my ears bleed, but this s/l has showcased some outstanding performances from SMG and C0.
