When you see a website talking about "strange" laws that are still around, it is important to note that some of the laws are being taken out of context.
Case in point: People like citing a law that states you have to have wipers in Texas, even if you don't have a windscreen. However, the actual law reads:
A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device that is operated or controlled by the operator of the vehicle and that cleans moisture from the windshield. The device shall be maintained in good working condition..
if you don't HAVE a windshield, you don;t actually have to have it. Note that if you have a removeable/foldable windscreen (some jeeps for example) you WOULF have to have it.

#4. Do Not Get Drunk in a Pub
Shocking, yet apparently true one of the weird UK laws claims that you should not get drunk in a pub. In fact, according to Section 12 of the Licensing Act 1872, “every person found drunk in any highway or other public place, whether a building or not, or on any licensed premises” could be penalised. In other words, if you drink 3 or 5 ciders outside your house, you could be facing a fine of up to £200. Our advice? A night out could be pricey enough, so keep a count on those drinks.
Someone put "Do not get drunk in a pub at the top, but that's irrelevant to the law. Public intoxication is a crime numerous places (not just the UK), and is a prime example of selective enforcement (that it's usually up to law enforcement what they do and don't enforce).
