Yes, that is absolutely correct...if ya want to be technical about it....

But let's face it, what 18 year old in America....or anywhere else in the world for that matter, waits till they're 21 to start the party? None that I know, that's for sure. 😛
I just think 18 is a much more realistic number.

If TV has taught me anything about American youth, it's that all 18-year-olds have fake ID 🙂
Actually, I go with the more European attitude to alcohol - ie, don't make a big thing about it to kids and so on...but with sensible restrictions. Obviously, I'm thinking of 14-16 year-olds here, any younger would not be good IMO.

I was thinking of changing my user title now I'm no longer a civilian. What do you think of "Kneel before my new-found power, mere mortals - BWAAHAHAHA!" 😀
 
Hey, Mr. P! I thought something looked different yesterday when prowling the boards, and I saw one of your posts...but it is (and was at the time) very early in the morning! I'm working midnights this week in penance for having the nerve to take vacation...that's my excuse for not doing this earlier: Heartiest congrats, mon ami! You'll do great! And I'll cut back on the weather mojo, if that will help!

Merci mon brave. The weather's pretty good here today - thanks for that😉🙂

I don't envy you your late shifts at all - I used to hate doing any shifts but lates were a killer...
 
It's part of the cost of doing business, man. I've worked here for 20 yrs, but I've only done true "graveyards" for the past 4 yrs or so. They're hard on the bod, but the management realizes time-shifted workers make mistakes and hurt themselves, so the workload is a bit lighter, and the breaks a bit longer. Not a bad trade-off, and I only do the midnights for 2 weeks out of 6.

I'm so glad I just do day shifts these days - I'm getting too old to have my sleep patterns disrupted. At least your management sounds reasonably enlightened. But still, 2 out of 6 - ouch!

Of course, now I'm all modly I really ought to stop going off-topic like this...If no one minds I'd like to close this thread down later today(to stop my head from getting too big from all the praise 🙂 and to get a bit of modding practice in...heaven knows, I need it😉)
