I finished Buffy! I don't know if it deserves its own thread but it certainly was an important event for me. (sw)

Anyway, it took me long enough (I've been called a slowbie!) but it's definitely been the best show on TV ever. The best anything on any screen ever! The fandom probably is one of the things that make it so great, I really would be so bored without BB and all the great people here. The only thing I'm sad about is that I was spoiled about pretty much everything before I saw it. 😛

I've always heard good things about Buffy and Angel so I'm surprised I didn't get into them sooner. Much to my shame I have to admit that I watched a bit of Buffy about 1.5 years ago but I didn't like it so I tried Angel instead. I got into that and when I was done with, I thought I probably should watch Buffy. Now I'm REALLY glad I did even though it took me a couple of seasons to properly get into.

Chosen was a great episode but it did make me sad. I can't believe it's over! The scene with Buffy and Spike at the end was heart-wrenching and Xander shouting for Anya with her lying there made me feel so bad for them. I also liked Buffy's inspirational speech even though at first the feminist message felt TOO obvious. It didn't bother me after the second viewing though, it's a worthy cause after all! The episode did have a lot of humor too, and at least now I know what the hell cait's title is about. That really has been bugging me for quite some time!

Anyway, enough babbling! Does anyone know how Buffy season 8 lines up with Angel season 5? I'm going to try the comics some time soon. I just hope they're better than the Angel ones!

PS. Lou gave me permission to say "what the hell".

PPS. Spuffy is true love!

woo hoo!
Yay! You finished! And you are a slowbie. Who needs to go to work when you can watch Buffy instead? (sw)

I'm going with the theory that S8 of Buffy is goes along with S5 of Angel. But that is just me. I've heard other theories, but they're harder to keep straight in my head.

GO TOPI!

I'm kinda jealous of you.. I wish I had just watched Buffy the whole way through for the first time!

PS. I don't know anything about the comic, sorry. ILY!

Yaay congratulations and like spoons i am kinda jealous to i wish i had just finished buffy although it takes a hell of a long time to go over the shock of no more episodes like a bad break up.

Yippee! Congrats on finishing the series! Have you watched Angel as well? When you deside to do a re-watch, you should watch them together in crossover like they're designed.

There is supposed to be a gap of about 18 months to 2 years between Season 7 and Season 8 of "Buffy," which would put it as much as a year later than Season 5 of "Angel." Since the events of "After The Fall" last only a few minutes "real" time, Season 8 is still a year and a half or more later than the beginning of "Aftermath."

Hehe, congratulations! I can't tell you anything about the comics, unfortunately. I wish I had watched it all in order, like you did (right?) but I didn't. So I don't really know the feeling you probably have. And therefore, I can't really tell you anything funny or interesting, really. Apart from to enjoy your new having-watched-all-episodes-ness 🙂 And what would you say is your favourite episode/arc/whatever, ever, now?

ps: It soo is!

Well done!! All the way to the end 🙂 Still don't believe you didn't cry...i think you cried...well i'm gonna say you cried so that i feel slightly less wierd 😀

So my knowledge of S5 of Angel...is well...nothing...but the comics are goood!! So read them! And that's all i've got to say about it :bounce:

Friendly Lurker, I watched last three seasons for the first time last month. 🙂

Now I must finish Angel 🙂

FINALLY!!! We can talk about Buffy in the IRC without Lurkie's evil glare! 😛

You know I'm kidding...YAY for you! I'm glad you stuck with it and got through (even if it took awhile 😉)

Yay! Yay for finishing and yay for Spuffy. 😉

I wish the first time I'd watched through Buffy I'd watched it all in order...But no, I decided to watch S6, S3, S1, S5, S4, S2, S7. Cause I'm random. Anyway, I think it's really cool that you've just finished watching it now; it shows that Buffy still goes strong and gets new fans all the time. Yay 🙂

I watched Angel before Buffy so not exactly in order! Then I watched season 2 because people had been saying season 1 isn't so great. By the time I was starting season 3 I realized it would be stupid to skip the first season so I watched that. After that I watched them in order, I swear!

I'd say Once More With Feeling is the episode I liked the most and I just can't get the songs out of my head! Does Spuffy count as an arc? 😛 I think the reason I like it so much is because Spike actually got the soul back himself instead of "accidentally" like Angel. He wanted to change and he did!

It's hard to say which season I like the most because I've liked Buffy more and more as the seasons go by. That kinda makes me biased towards the later seasons so you should probably ask me again after I've watched them all a few times!

Are you talking about the finale of Season 6? Spike went to become 'what he was' - which is a vampire - so he could take Buffy down a peg but instead he had his soul restored. That's how I saw it. He, the same as Angel, was kind of cursed in a way to start with but he made the best of it. 😀
