It hasn't been that long since the last time I watched season one, but dang it he is making me want to watch it again. 😀

Just remembered the S1 is only 12 episodes, so HE'LL BE SEEING SPIKE IN JUST TWO WEEKS! 😀

I am happy.

Yes, he'll really lose his mind once he gets to Spike and the rest of season 2. Oh, how I love newbies! They're so innocent! After he's done, he'll be battle-scarred like the rest of us. 😀

He reviewed Prophecy Girl today. It was a great read, now I can't wait till he gets into season 2. I think it's going to blow him away and cement a love for this show.

I'm wondering (gleefully) if he'll be able to watch 1 episode a day without reading spoilers during the most compelling arcs. Will he be able to watch Surprise, turn off his player and spend another day doing everyday stuff before he finally watches Innocence? Or he'll say "the hell with it, I have to find out what the hell is happening?" The same with Becoming 1-2.

*rubs hands in anticipation*

P.S. School Hard airs on Monday, 2 January. I remember Mark saying that he knows about "somebody named Spike" being in the show - so he knows that Spike will be one of the major players. I can't wait to read his assessment of Spike's first fight with Buffy.

"Do we need weapons for this?" and "No, Spike, it's gonna hurt a lot". 🙂))

Some people in the comments section suggested doing "Surprise" and "Innocence" in a livefeed as two in a row. Something about the airdates being mere days apart from when he's scheduled to watch those two... it was pretty cool. So maybe he'll do it like that?

Ooh yes, can't wait for his reaction to Spike. Especially at the end when he gets even more badass and fries the Annointed One.

I'm rather fond of this quote from his review of "Some Assembly Required" since it is exactly how I feel. 😀

"I like Giles and you cannot take that away from me. Do I want to see him with Jenny Calendar? Who doesn’t? He’s such an intelligent man, and it makes me laugh to see him trip up over the most basic communication skills."

Ooh! Ooh! He's reviewed "School Hard"! He likes Spike!

'He’s not a main character, so he could die at any time!'

-snickers-

'It also pretty much guaranteed to me that there are a couple million Spike/Angel fics in the world and I’ve read not a second of Buffy fanfic. Yet I know this is true as I know that I breathe oxygen.'

Which is the true solution to all the Bangel/Spuffy debates.

I enjoy his reviews a lot. I love when someone who hasn't watched the show ever writes his/her reviews on the show. So refreshing to read. 🙂

I was sooooo looking forward to his School Hard review, and it didn't disappoint. It is indeed great reading the opinions of a newbie fan. 🙂

All that keeps coming to my mind is "you think you know...what's to come...you haven't even begun." It makes me appreciate it all over again...he thinks Spike's gonna be set up to be the Big Bad of S2... I can't wait for his review of Innocence...

The funniest thing? I discover something new in an episode I know by heart, frame-by-frame. I didn't know that "I'll chop her into pieces" is from "Othello" (maybe because I know only Russian version of the text).

It's interesting that Joss gave that line to Spike, even when he considered Spike a bit player to be killed in three episodes.
