Don't think he's completely spoiler-free, but not to such a degree that you guys are implying. That's only eight out of fifteen predictions he's got. The full list:

The first episode of season three will be highly Buffy-centric. I'm guessing this because Buffy left Sunnydale and they sort of have to show where she went and what she did. However, now I realize they could just do what they did for season two's opener and just show us Buffy returning from summer vacation. DAMN IT. Whatever, I'm sticking to it.

Oz will die in season three. I am basing this prediction solely on the fact that I like him, I think he and Willow are cute, and Joss Whedon cannot tolerate joy over the course of one season. He's been around too long and I imagine Whedon was just itching to pull the trigger at this point.

Cordelia and Xander will break up. My general theme for these predictions will be: "Joy cannot last." I think this is a healthy choice to have.

Buffy and Joyce will have an extended conversation about her being the Slayer at least once in the season. Extended means it has to last at least five minutes.

Joyce will slay a vampire. Look, I don't care if that's an irrational prediction. I simply do not care. I want Joyce to slay vampires, and I want it now.

Giles will meet someone he develops a crush on by the end of season three.

Angel will be retrieved from Hell.

I'm making this separate just so I can at least get one prediction right, but I think Angel will come back via some sort of magic that Willow discovers and executes.

On that note, Willow will continue to pursue doing magic in season three.

We will find out why Principal Snyder is "in" with the Mayor of Sunnydale, and the mayor will play a larger role.

Principal Snyder will die by a creature that's not a vampire.

We will see one snake in season three

There'll be an episode about bees. Doesn't every sci-fi show have a bee episode?

Spike will come back, but not Drusilla.

112 people will die onscreen. This includes any staked vampires. REMIND ME TO KEEP TRACK OF THIS AS THE SHOW MOVES ALONG.

And about the scarily accurate snake guess... Even if the Mayor hadn't turned into a giant snake, he still would've gotten that prediction through Lurconis.

And here's someone else's predictions in the comments... I'm not sure how spoiled Mark is, but I don't think it's very much, but I'm pretty sure this person is completely unspoiled.

1)It will be less depressing than season two. Seriously, there's no way it could be more depressing, short of killing off every single character but Buffy and have her go completely insane"¦please don't make that happen?
2)We'll see Spike and Dru again, but not until a few episodes in.
3)There will be a new main villain, with Spike and Dru as more of a "˜wildcard' type thing.
4)Angel will be brought back somehow. Look, I'm cheating with this one because I know he has his own spin-off show, but let me have it anyway.
5)Buffy will have to deal with her mother, but they will eventually reconcile.
6)Either Xander/Cordy or Willow/Oz will break up. I don't want them to, but I don't think they'll be allowed to just stay happy.
7)I feel like Willow's magic stuff is building up to become more important, though I'm not sure how.
8)Oz being a werewolf will also be brought up again, or at least mentioned
9)We will find out more on what the heck is going on with Snyder and the other town officials.
10)OMG maybe SNYDER will be the new main villain! PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN.
11) Yet another new member of the Scooby gang will be introduced.
12) And"¦yes, another main character will die. I feel a little safer saying this now because for me the worst has already happened. It's hard to see how they could top Jenny's death, but I'm sure they'll try.
13) I will continue to annoy everyone by getting really upset any time anyone even obliquely mentions Jenny.
14) Xander, Willow, Giles and Cordy are probably safe though.
15)One character will leave the show, but NOT die.
16) We'll find out more about the Watchers. Actually this is more of a wish than a prediction. I just really want to know how that system works!
17) There will be one really funny episode
18) There will be one really terrifying episode
19) There will be one episode of which I feel completely differently about to the rest of the fandom, and I will really embarrass myself by the comments I make. (This hasn't happened yet, but I live in fear of it)

Special Bonus Prediction That's Really More Of A (RHETORICAL) Question:
Will there be a new Slayer? Because Kendra died but"¦here's the thing, I'm not quite sure how it works. When Buffy "˜died', was Kendra called because "˜the Slayer had just been killed', or because "˜there was no Slayer in the world'? If the former, then there should be a new girl called to replace Kendra at the moment of her death. If the latter, then Buffy was still alive when Kendra died, there was technically no absence of Slayer-i-tude, so no-one new will be called and Buffy will be alone again.
Just some food for thought.

So, on with the show!

Haha, love TV Tropes. What did Spike do in the AtF comics?

Nothing bad actually - but he had a harem of demon/human fighter chicks and it was heavily implied that his 'top twelve' list was very flexible. 😉

(pre-souled )Spike has a tv trope of his own too - Draco In Leather Pants which he shares with Vampire Diaries Damon and Eric Norman from True Blood.

N/A re: Spike. His ability to love as written from S2 negates any "trope" need.
I love that trope. Mainly because I like Draco and reading Dramione fanfiction. I know, I'm weird 😀 I just find it more interesting than Romione.

Sylar from Heroes and Cole from Charmed are also on the list. It's interesting how many bad guys are made sympathetic by their fandoms. That list is very long. 😀

Another Dramione fan? I love you soooo much!!!! *hugs* 😀

He will be happy to know that Oz doesn't die, bu he is going to be devastated in season 4. I still get devastated everytime I watch that ep (see sig).

I love his love for "Anne". Anne is probably my favorite season opener, (probably second to Barganing, but it fluctuates.) Anne is extremely underrated, and it had too many classic lines and scenes.

Anne is one of the best BTVS eps ever. It has absolutely everything you want from the show.
It made me grin when he said that he didn't think we'd ever see Lily again. I just sat there thinking, wait until you watch Angel.

I still wish they had gotten her and Gunn together. (Feels weird calling her Lily not Anne.)

So, I love that he made a mix tape. I knew only one song on it though and I have to say...3 1/2? What? AFI was one of the greatest bands ever, through 2003, and almost every song of theirs on every album from "Shut your mouth" through "Sing the sorrow" is basically a gem. Not 3 1/2. Ugh, it's the one I always skip.

As for the predictions? I didn't find them to be suspicious. In the horror genre there are often snakes, (same rationale behind predicting bees which he also does, incorrectly,) so that's not so impressive. And Spike coming back? He said before watching the show that he knew about someone "named Spike." So he probably figures that Spike is a big enough character that he wouldn't have just been on for one season, you know? In other words, I don't think he's cheating. 😛

Beauty and the Beasts is up. Not really a stand out episode, but there's a hilarious thread in the comments. To summarize:

Commenter A: Alice’s Dad’s Comment Of The Episode:

“Where did Angel get those trousers anyway? Is that another one of his vampire powers – spontaneous clothes generation?”

[people agreeing]

Commenter B: Where did Angel get those trousers anyway?
THIS IS MY QUESTION ALSO. I mean… he's supposed to be a ~savage beast~ but he still had a mind to put some pants on? Omg it's totally a clue that he's not completely gone forever: the trousers symbolise hope!

C: THE TROUSERS OF HOPE

D: Better than Buffy's overalls of sadness!

E: He had magically appearing trousers in "Surprise" as well, when he runs out into the rain.

A: Hey, I remember that!

But in that scene the trousers are a symbol of despair…

F: Maybe they're symbolic of transformation?

G: The Trousers of Change.

H: I imagine the scene in the writer's room going down something like this:

"You know, he has to be naked."
"There's no way the WB will let us have him naked. We have to put on some pants."
"Fans are gonna call us out on that. They're gonna wonder where he got the pants."
"Yeah. Probably. Damn it. Maybe…maybe no-one will notice?"
"Oh, they're gonna notice, man. They're gonna notice the pants."
"Eh, **** it. Get him some pants."

Seriously lol'd so hard at the whole exchange.

Hilarious!
"No, you’re going to have Faith and Buffy go to homecoming together? Did – did I just start shipping Buffy and Faith? Like, I know I desperately want to read a gay subtext into everything, but in that one instance, I was like WOULDN’T IT BE COOL IF THEY WENT TO HOMECOMING AND THEN FELL FOR EACH OTHER AND THEN IT WAS PERFECT? Yes good. This is what I want."

Ooh, upcoming Fuffy shipper.

Also, Band Candy is tomorrow!

Band Candy is up...review is ALL IN CAPS...hilarious.

Revelations is up, too, but i haven't got through with it yet.

Lovers Walk is up, and it had me realise for the first time that the episode's title is LOVERS WALK, not LOVER'S WALK! Geez I know, I'm slow...

P

right there with you. :-)
Continuation of the pants discussion from Beauty and the Beasts, but now in Lovers Walk:

Commenter 1: Question: Spike's wardrobe has shifted a touch, yes? I don't recall him ever wearing blue jeans last season. Black leather pants are coming to mind, although they may just have been black pants.

Commenter 2: He wore black jeans last season, I think. Because black leather trousers are worn only when someone is diabolically evil, like Angel was. Spike is not demony enough to warrant leather trousers, but he's demony enough not to be allowed blue jeans.

3: "Vampire in leather pants" on Buffy is the opposite of "Draco in leather pants", you need to wear fluffy sweaters or tweed to be a good person. (And now I'm imagining Spike in a fluffy pink sweater.) .

4: The kinds of trousers you wear on this show are very important, I'm noticing.

The Wish is up. He liked the episode. Liked??? He wasn't as excited as I wanted him to be. The Wish is love. 🙂

How come he's not thrilled?? I guess he didn't like that no-one remembers/know...well I can't wait for NORMAL AGAIN!!

I eventually got the link working.

The Wish is up. He liked the episode. Liked??? He wasn't as excited as I wanted him to be. The Wish is love. 🙂

I'm with you; I find it so disappointing that he doesn't get how amazing this episode is.

His qualms are with Cordy fading as the focus of the episode as it progresses and the fact that nobody remembers what happened. I think perhaps by the end of the season, once we have seen Dopplegangland and seen how Cordy has changed, that even despite her own personal loss she does know the worth of the Scoobies and what they do. She fights a war with them.

And the thing is, Cordy isn't at the place where she can fully evolve yet (That won't happen until the end of S1 of Angel). We see at the end of the episode that she doesn't actually mean what she said to Anya because she continues to go on naming all these ridiculous scenarios that she is only saying to blow off steam; she doesn't mean them, she's having fun.

In his final words he says the episode was pointless, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The Wish answered that insistent, silent question that had hung over the Buffyverse since Welcome to the Hellmouth: did Buffy make the Scoobies et à¡l's lives' better or worse? The Wish is the unequivocal answer. Yes, things are bad, but they could have been so much worse.
