Exactly. Hence the rest of the sentence that I believe the crazy men in charge are capable of anything.

All we need to do is look at the treatment these men afford their own people to realise how soulless they are 🙁

If anything, Australia has a higher chance of being the target of North Korea than America.
- We are closer
- We are within the strike range of an intercontinental ballistic missile
- We have a close alliance with America

China will let Kim continue to issue threats but at the first sign that he is actually going to carry out a threat, they will get rid of Kim for us. Why? Because China owns a lot of American debt and anything that would reduce the value of the dollar (like a war) means American payments on their debt will be made with money that has little value. Even where payments are specified in gold, they don't want America to have trouble coming up with the payment or the lifestyle of the Communist elite may suffer. When Kim Jong Un took over from Kim Jong Il a few years ago, there was the same sabre rattling. South Korea took little notice and my daughter was there in Pohang as an English teacher and no one seemed concerned.

America would not use nuclear weapons against North Korea. China and South Korea would be at risk. But the US has a fantastic array of conventional weapons that could total all of their missile launch facilities.

You either let Japan, South Korea and Taiwan have their own nuclear weapons to protect themselves, or protect them better by talking less and arming more. Poking Kim while offering no real protection for your allies is the stupidest choice.

There are, at last report, as many as a dozen U S nuclear submarines and destroyers, each one individually armed with enough missile fire power to level the populated area of North Korea, stationed well within immediate strike range right now, plus, a single B2 bomber can carry enough payload to do almost the same thing in one bombing run. I would say that they are pretty well protected
