Were the rumours true about Alyson & Sarah?

First off - sorry if this is in the wrong place & has been discussed a million times. I've been reading lots of different stuff that supposedly took place, but I thought I'd come here and see if you guys can help.

I've been reading that after Season 7, Alyson fell out with Sarah because she wanted to leave the show & that everyone found this information out via a magazine interview Sarah did.

Is there any truth to this? If so, do we know what their relationship is like six years on? Have they made amends, or are they still not talking?

I think so. Years ago I read an interview in a German magazine with Alyson Hannigan, and there she said she didn't get along with Sarah anymore, because the entire crew just heard from newspapers that they were soon out of a job. This was years ago though, so sadly I don't know where that artile is. Next time i'm in Germany I'll try find it to look up Alyson's exact phrasing.

But they didn't really fall out,they just stopped talking for a while.News leaked out that SMG wanted to leave,and that season seven was to be her last.But Joss already new that,and was thinking the same thing,and the show finished.
The cast kept in touch,but SMG didn't,as she ever really mixed with the others really anyway.
Joss said in Buffy and Angel Magazine after the news got out,that,"We already knew this was to be Sarah's last year,and that the show would end in season seven.Everyone as cool about it"
Aparently SMG had a lot going on in her private life,hence her
decision to leave the show.
 
Man i'm stupid! I thought the topic was Alyson and Julie(There good now) LOL. I think everyone was mad at Sarah when they found out she decided not to renew her contract.
 
Yes, that is very true, and they're still not really on speaking terms. Which saddens me, because Satyana and Baby Buffy need to be BFFs. 😛 =/
 
I know right I haven't seem them once together after Buffy! I don't even think they hanged out off set. But Sarah and Michelle are great she went to Sarah's baby shower.
 
Yeah, it appears Sarah is the closest to Michelle and David.

EDIT: Oh, I've also heard that Sarah and Emma don't get along well, either.
 
Wow, I never knew any of this.

I'm not really suprised though, Sarah seems like a really private person and since she never went to conventions or anything, it makes sense that she wouldnt have that kind of bond that the rest of them did.

Actually, Sarah was at the Reunion panel, while Alyson, David, and others weren't.
 
I choose to believe that the entire cast are best friends and will be BFFs forever and ever amen.

Why didn't Joss just replace someone else as buffy? I really missed the show. There are many young other actresses who could play the role Buffy better than SMG. I personally think Joss cancelled the show based on Sarah's decision on leaving the show. I personally think Jessica Biel could fit the buffy character better than SMG.

No one would go for that. After 7 years of SMG as Buffy, I doubt most fans would get behind a 'new' Buffy.
