Cordy/Gunn certainly popped up a lot in fan fiction. Or it used to back when I was still reading that stuff. It would certainly be better and make more sense than Gunn/Fred or Angel/Cordy.
I could actually see Gunn/Cordy, Gunn/Gwen and Gunn/Faith as possible relationships. They'd be different due to the different nature of these women but all could work.
