Were you disappointed?

i laugh out loud everytime with that last scene... with the music building up and Giles is like "why didnt i see this before!" and you think its going to be something terrible and he's like "actual size." hee hee. so well done.

Hopefully one of the writers was having a go at literary agents who state that the end has to be a reaction to the build up.
It was very enjoyable.

awwww he was cute.bet she had to throw her shoes away in the end though.mind you who on earth wears Air jordans with a red riding suit on???. 😀

^ yeah the little guy did not look cute but his voice sure was!
I thought the tiny demon was really funny, he had a cute voice.
I love that scene!

I felt a little let down at first with the demon. I think I was expecting a huge fight scene. But it fit the episode, it was a nice surprise. Even at the end though when Giles is about to say the ''Actual size'' line I kind of expected him to say that it was just a decoy or something. It goes to show that you should expect the unexpected in the Buffyverse 🙂

Wow, did you not get the point of the ending? The whole point was the let down. Youre all geared up for the usual Buffy/ emon showdown and thats what you get. It surprise was the point. It was funny (as most people agree) and made a change from the usual. Besides the point wasnt the demon itself, it was the fear it instilled in people. What was disappointing about severed head that speaks, a tarantula, Oz changing, Willow being overpowered etc?

Maybe you should watch the episode again and pay attention this time.

Wicked, that type of attitude is not necessary.

She recognized that it was supposed to be that way, but was asking if anyone was disappointed that it wasn't a big snarly bad. That is a completely valid question.

Please express your opinion in a more constructive way in the future, or refrain from giving it at all.

If the fear demon had been normal person sized, there wouldn't have been time for the insights to each character's fears.

Especially if the Demon was hungry... lol...

Personally, I liked the way they did it. Who's the pretty lil demon?", and the way Buffy treated him. it just added comic relief to the episode and served good ending.

I loved the fact it was a small iddy demon, not just because it was very *very* funny- especially the demon's squeaky voice- haha, but because you have to remember that he was Fear Demon. And the fact that all these big terrifying demon things happen scaring the scooby doo out of them, only to find the demon is about four inches tall really reflects what our actual fears are like. Our fears terrify us obviously and seem like this huge big undealable things, but if you actually look at them, take them into context and look at them rationally, our fears are really just very small things. Just like the demon was teeny too.

If memory serves I think someone already said that on this thread and I may have just repeated. If so; sorry for being repeat-o girl! hehe
