Were you ever scared?

I was re-watching some season 2 episodes the other day, and i found myself a little freaked out. Then when i watch later seasons, i think they dropped that whole trying to be scary thing.

Besides 'Hush' (with Olivia looking out the window) in Season 4, And Restless (the first slayer above buffy), I never found myself scared after that. There were a lot of other strong emotions tho.

Also i found season 1 and 2 a look darker in lighting. And when i mean scared, I dont mean "Cant sleep at night" scared, but more jumpy, eerie scary.

Seems like they mostly gave up on the scary/suspense after Season 2, yeah.

I thought Helpless from Season 3 was trying to be sort of classic suspense film scary, with Buffy in that ramshackle house with the psychovamp, no slayer powers. Fear Itself from Season 4 kinda freaked me a little, first time I saw it. And I just watched Lessons recently - ep #1, Season 7. That seemed like an attempt to return to a classic Buffy/scary feel.

But yeah, as the lighting got better, the creep factor decreased a little.

I did jump in "Hush", and was a little disturbed by the Gentlemen, other than that, I don't think so.

But personally the way the universe was written...it's fairly impossible to make it scary and I don't think they could have after we got familiar with it. It was too - silly, I guess.

Well, I'm twelve so of course I got scared, I got scared watching killed by death and I really never want to go to a hospital again now...
I got kind of scared in The Gift, though mostly I was upset, not scared, um, I got scared at a lot of episodes...

opps 😛 I was going to say Killed by Death freaks me out still and I'm 26 😉 The Master still creeps me out a bit... but that's about it, besides Hush of course.

I remeber being creeped out in the episode Nightmares - The guy with the club hand was eerie!

personally none of the episodes ever startled me, scared me or any of that. I'm a hard person to scare really...

But i do agree that the moods kinda changed after season 2, I guess it did have alot to thank to the lighting and all... The darker the lighting the creepier the mood i suppose... same goes for when you watch horror movies in the light and in the dark. I get more excited about them in the dark but when the light is on its like ugh well that kinda sucked lol.
