Werewolves

Whats the deal with Werewolves! I'm watching Phases just now, and the ww hunter talks about killing ww's because their skins 'fetch a pretty penny in Sri Lanka'. But i (think) i remember in Unleashed, Angel kills one, and the ww instantly reverts back to human form. So how could the hunter sell its skin?(i assume he meant the hairy wolfy skin) I can't remember any other ww's killed to compare!

My guess is they hadn't thought that through when they wrote Phases. Either that or hunter whassisface skins them and yanks their teeth out while they're still mostly alive, before they revert.

The werewolf in Unleashed was a different species of werewolf than Oz and Veruca were, as mentioned in that episode. So mabye different werewolf species react differently upon being killed. I'm guessing they introduced that so they could go with the storyline without fans going, "HEY! That happened differently."

Yep, what Mumrik said. 🙂 Actually I must give them kudos for thinking of this possible blunder when they wrote the Nina story - I mean, there isn't really any other reason that would make her species so different from "standard Jossverse" werewolves, right? I bet someone caught the continuity goofup just in time to write the "different species" line into the script. 😉

It was in one of the directors commentary that they thought the suits the old werewolves wore were stupid and they wanted to have a better looking werewolf. That was the reason why they said they wanted the new species thing in.

Ultimately it was just a huge retcon because someone had a cool idea for an episode.
