Fred is blind because Wesley is ideal for her.

i still want them to, but i don't think it will happen. fred and gunn really are very cute... but i still think wes is the man for her.

I think it was a toss-up whether Fred fell for Gunn or Wesley first, and Gunn was the more assertive of the two (and there weren't any "boss" issues).

I, too, think Wesley is the more compatible of the two for Fred, but the chances of them getting together has decreased since her rant at him in the hospital. (IMHO, what Fred was really upset about there was not so much Wes not confiding in his "friends", but not confiding in *her*. I think there's still a definite personal interest on her side, too, although subconscious at the moment.)

i mean im started to get why she picked gunn instead of wesley
i think shes you know one of those super intelligent people who arent clever
like i completely blame her for everything bad that has happen to and because of wesley this season
if shed just gotten together with our darling wesley then they would have been close enough for him to confide in
i mean he totally felt rejected by the group which hardly encourages the guy to confide this deadly secret to them
its all her fault
but if she could get together with wesley now *hint hint Joss* then shed score some major brownie points and i may indeed like her again...maybe

I agree that while Fred is brilliant at abstract mathematical theory she's not very down to earth or in touch with her own feelings. Although she has good flashes of insight into other people's characters (e.g., Justine after Holtz took Connor, and Gunn when he tried to "dump" her to protect her from the guys who were after his soul), she's very passive and doesn't trust herself.

Clearly, she's the member of the group that wants to reconcile most with Wesley, and the only one that has a chance of achieving such a reconciliation. I'm hoping that the shock of both Angel and Cordy going AWOL will push her into reaching out to him (without the rants, this time). It also might affect her relationship with Gunn... Hmmm....

but i do think that Fred and Gunn would make a good couple, but if she was with Gunn then i wouldn't be able to go out with him, fred and wes, lol.
