Wes and Illyria

I know Wes is dead, but in Buffy when Tara died she could not be brought back because her death was caused by a human. Buffy's was not, she was brought back...Wes (along with Anya but that's for a different thread) was not killed by human means. So...

Do you think they will bring Wes back if there is a season 6 of Angel?
If so, Would you want him to be with Illyria? I personally think they would make a great couple.

So, if a demon knifes you, or trips you and you break your neck or something, that's considered a mystical death? So long as it's a demon?

Osiris told Willow that she couldn't have Tara back because she died of natural causes, unlike Buffy, who had died by going through a mystical portal. Regardless of who holds the weapon, a knife, sword, axe, bullet, or explosion would have to be considered "natural" causes because they would kill in the natural (non-mystical) world. There might be a chance to bring Fred back in some form, however, since her death didn't fit into the "natural" category. (the statement that her soul was "consumed" by the transformation into Illyria could be worked around somehow if Joss had really wanted to)

i don't think they'll bring back Wes. they can't bring back everybody who dies and if they did bring back someone from Angel who has dies i would like it to be Cordy. i think Angel needs her.

I disagree, I think Angel wants Cordelia, but he has shown he doesn't 'need' her. She is now fighting somewhere else.

Wesley, in terms of the fight, is more valuble on this plane than the other.
Cordelia, however, hints that she still is 'fighting' and is needed there.

I would like to know more about this next phase and what baring it has on this reality and this fight though.

Wesley died by mortal means even though it was a Demon that killed him so he wouldn't be eligible for resurrection, though that doesn't mean he couldn't be brought back.

Anya, same as Wes.

There was a Plan for Wes to fall for Illyria and then Fred be returned to him which meant he'd have to deal, but thats out of the window now because of his death.
