Wes v Gunn

Remember Wes and Gunn had a little fight, a few punches thrown! Who do you think would win if these two fought?

Wes. By the end of Angel he was a bad ass and I think if it was for the right reason, Wes would have been totally capable of killing Gunn.

It would have been an interesting fight, to say the least. Gunn was a street fighter, but Wesley had studied all kinds of martial arts and stuff and he was definitely bad-ass. I think Gunn would have given him a run for his money, but Wesley would have won.

It's true that Wes often carried guns, but I don't know that this would help him when he's going up against a gun(n) in a fight!

I think probably Gunn would win, but in my dream world, Wes does. Because he's my favorite. ;D

Though I guess it would be a close fight -- with Wes using some awesome weapons, and Gunn using brute force.

Yeah, I think it would be quite close; and either one of them could win in a fight against the other, but I'd like to think that Wes would win.

At the stage where Gunn & Wes are "fighting" over Fred, I think Gunn would win. Wes is still growing in his leader role, starting to head down the path of (oh so sexy) bad ass, wheras Gunn still has a lot of his street-fighting experience etc. However, by mid season four Wes would definatly kick Gunn's ass.

I was watching Not Fade Away last night, and while watching Gunn walk into the senators office and take out about 10 vampires all by himself, i thought ''there is not a chance Wes could have done that if he didn't have guns, or probably even if he had guns''.
Putting all your love for Wes aside(cos i love Wes too) straight up fight, no weapons, Charles would give Mr. Pryce a serious beat down.

the interesting thing with Wes is the 'Batman argument'. For those of you who aren't nerds in the same vein as me. In other comic forums there are always arguments just like this... the who would win between....? Discussions. It can be an interesting debate when you do Thor V. Superman, Captain America V. Wolverine etc. etc. but whenever Batman was entered into the discussion it always boiled down to one point.

Batman, given enough time, knowledge and resources could beat anyone up to and including Superman. However if he were just thrown into a ring with no forewarning he'd be squished.

Wesley is the 'Batman' of the Buffyverse. Give him enough time and he'll figure out a way to beat Gunn, Spike, Angel, Buffy, Dark Willow, Glory, whoever ya want. If you just throw him into a pit with sharpened sticks with any of those people however and he's a human cantaloupe.

Whoops, I was an idiot and voted before I read the thread. I like Wes better as a character and I think he's more badass in terms of separating himself from his emotions and connections to people in order to do what he believes is right. But I think Gunn would beat him in hand-to-hand combat, or even a gunfight.
