Wesley and Angelus

Why did they interact like they never met before?
In Eternity he became Angelus and met Wesley, I know it was for a short time but Angelus got Wesley very bad, he said things to him that really hurt him and at the end Angel even apologized, and then they didn't remember it?
Eternity wasn't all that great but it wasn't that bad to make us forget about it.
 
Remind me how they didnt remember it? (Im having a dunb night ) then I'll have a go at a logical answer 🙂
 
^ i'm with wicked. i don't remember the 'not remembering Wesley' part. i can remember them meeting in Eternity, but i can't remember Angelus having to ask who Wesley was.
and besides, he should have Angel's memories of Wes...he knew who Buffy, Xander etc. were and Angelus never met them.

Did Wesley meet the real Angelus in Eternity though?

Wesley: "What did you give him?"
Rebecca: "Does it matter?"
Cordy: "Well, if he's all homicidal, I'm thinking YEAH!"
Rebecca: "Doximall."
Wesley: "Doximall?!"
Cordy: "Doxi-what?"
Wesley: "Powerful tranquilizer. It induces - bliss."
Cordy: "Bliss? As in sheer contentment? Perfect happiness?!"
Wesley: "It's synthetic "“ not true happiness."
Rebecca: "This is really good stuff."
Wesley: "He hasn't really turned. It's an illusion "“ not real."
Rebecca: "He bit me."
Wesley: "Still, we might want to eave the premises for a while "“ just until the effects wear off."

Angelus knew who Wesley was like he knew Fred, but they acted like if they never met in person, they didn't exactly said we meet at last but I kinda feel that they forgot.
I'm searching for the script right now.

(rearranges the gun he's holding, paces) You'll have to forgive the accommodations. The last time you were free, you terrorized Sunnydale

He was free in Los Angeles, for a short time but free, almost killed Wesley, Cordelia and the actress.

See? I've imagined this moment, I think he was speaking of meeting him, but he already did.

Yes but he was acting really like Angelus, even talked like him and said the things he used to say. Will drugs just turn Angel evil??
I guess it will be Angel on drugs like everyone else but not turning evil, I think he was Angelus or that's the impression they gave me.
 
The evidence appears to suggest both Angel and Wesley didn't think it was the real Angelus in Eternity then. Is there any evidence suggesting Wesley's explanation of Angelus as an "illusion" in Eternity is incorrect?
 
As for the "last time you were free bit" well he wasnt really free in Eternity. he never got out the building. Basically he was trapped at home.

But I have to agree with N4H.
 
I'd have to say Wes met 'Angelus' in Eternity but it was the effects of the drugs that did that, so maybe Wes thought that time didn't count..? the ep 'Souless' is when Wes meets Angelus for the first time as in for real no drugs etc, as the souls had gone this time, so he thought that counted ..?
 
I think when Angel was on the drugs, he wasn't the full blown Angelus. So I'd say in Soulless, is the first time they truely meet.
