Now, Welsey and Lilah was definitely a surprising and odd couple, but I actually do believe that Lilah had finally felt a sense of love during her relationship with the rogue demon hunter.

Although Wesley was definitely sleeping with her just to feel wanted by someone, I think it went a little further than that with Lilah.

Discuss!

They are my second favourite ship (Cangel is first), I always loved them together!

Maybe it started out for Wesley as such longing to feel wanted, but towards the end I think he definitely felt more for Lilah! The way he took it when she betrayed/used him, I don't think he would've reacted like that if she was just easy comfort for him. Also, he saved her from the W&H massacre (sw)

For Lilah it was of course, like already said, finally some real love. I loved how she stalked him to Fred's lecture 😀

In some ways, the Wesley/Lilah relationship was similar to what Spike and Buffy had during Season 6. Both Wes and Buffy were at what was arguably their lowest point emotionally. Both sought comfort and forgetfulness in the arms of someone who might be called under normal circumstances the enemy. Both the bad boy and the bad girl came to see the relationship as something more than just physical comfort. Both Spike and Lilah had to contend, at least at the beginning of their respective relationships, with the definite feeling of and resentment for being merely substitutes for someone else. We could take the similarity so far as to note that, ultimately both Buffy and Wes would end up defending their former lovers to their friends, giving them shelter in the time of crisis, and not actually admitting their true feelings for Spike and Lilah until the moment of death (in Wes' case, of course, it was merely an imagined conversation, but no less valid)

And, yes, at least on the surface, both Lilah and Spike cared more for, or at least admitted their feelings for, their perspective lovers before Wes or Buffy were prepared to admit their own true feelings. The feelings, however, were definitely there, and, in both cases, were kept secret from their fellow teammates, guarded as a "dirty little secret."

what's there left to say, you said it all! :)
I was "eww" at them at first. But when I grow up, I understand more why this couple happened.

And I think Wesley didn't just use her. He had love feeling toward her even it's not pure love like he had toward Fred. He saw good in Lilah.

My fav scene is when Wes burnt that paper hoping to free Lilah, but it didn't work. It's so sad. But it showed that he did care about her.

omg same! i use to think ' WHY :|'
but as i grew up i understood why.

I was actually quite sad when she died, i was like ;O!
Just when she was starting to act ' goodish'.

i really liked Lilah+wes together <3

I loved Wesley/Laila!! For one thing- what a ridiculously attractive couple!!

I think Laila was absolutely in love with Wes. I forget which episode it was, but Wes was angry at her for playing him and misusing his trust and she said, "If I ever thought you would actually trust me, I would never have played you like that." And in the Season 4 finale? Where he tries to burn her contract. That is such a touching moment!!!

Welsey may have thought he loved Lilah at some point, but I really just think his sexual relationship with her was out of anger from not being with Fred, and also anger from the group turning on him. He even made Lilah dress up as Fred at some point.

I love Wesley and Lilah, they're so cute together. They're one of the few couples on the series that's actually interesting to watch too.

At first I didn't like them. I wanted Fresley. But they grew on me, I believe they did love each other, I mean it took Wes ages to chop Lilah's head off after when she was killed.

At first I thought it was just a way of showing how low Wesley had got after being shunned by his friends, but then it became almost a real relationship. Complicated, but good to watch.

Definitely one of the most fascinating relationships portrayed in the Buffy/Angel verse. I have always been of the opinions that Wesley wasn't as emotionally invested in the relationship as Lilah was, that for her it was one of the first cases of emotional intimacy she had felt in a while, I mean, I seem to remember she was practically begging Wesley not to break up with her in Habeas Corpses (season four, episode eight), offering to dress up as Fred again for his benefit, something she was offering with the utmost sincerity almost. She looks very hurt when Wes retorts "don't embarass yourself".
