Wesley is not wearing his glasses,yet nobody seems to notice it.

Hi,this is my first thread,i hope I'm posting it in the right place. Anyway,have you ever found it kind of funny that no one ever mentions (not even just for funny) that Wesley isn't wearing glasses anymore. In not one instance in season four or season five does Wesley ever reference or does anyone else ever say that he use to wear glasses. The two scenes that seem to be the weirdest when it comes to this topic are found in two different episodes("Spin the Bottle" 4:6 and "Lineage" 5:7). First of all in "Spin the Bottle" The entire team undergoes a memory lapse after a spell gone wrong and now they all think they're younger versions of themselves. In this ep Wesley references his facial hair saying "judging by the amount of facial hair I've grown with all been knocked out for at least a week." Later he goes on to reference his large biceps as he feels it in shock and awe. Still the ep begins and concludes without one single reference to him not having his glasses or him wondering about his "missing" glasses. Am i alone,doesn't this seem like an obvious thing to point out,even if just for comedic fun? Moving on to season 5, in the ep "Lineage" Wesley's father comes to visit him at Wolfram & Hart and he never says to Wesley "where are your glasses"? I know this seems silly,but it just seems like such a weird and obvious thing to overlook especially when you could've made a joke out of it in some ep or the other. 🙂😛

Some people move on to contact lenses or eye surgery. Glasses can be a limitation in a fight and Wesley is a hunter of demons when he leaves Sunnydale and goes to L.A. They were trying to re-invent Wesley as a badass hunk for Ats and glasses just don't say badass no matter who wears them.

oh i know that,believe me. i liked that he didn't have his glasses. That's not what i was saying,sorry if it came across that way 🙂 I was just saying that its never referenced by other characters and it seemed kind of weird to me,thats all i was sayin.

I just figured he wore contacts. I wear glasses these days but I've been alternating between glasses and contacts since I was in high school. My sister has been off/on with contacts since she was in middle school. If Wes wore contacts as a teen regressing to his 17 year old self wouldn't seem strange at all for him to be wearing contacts.

I just think Wesley got so cool that he just willed himself not to need glasses anymore. It's a thing some fictional heroes can do. 🙂

Like the way his throat getting slashed didn't leave a scar, yet made his voice all low and gravely when he needed it to. (Or maybe he's just copying Holtz...)
