What about Eve?

Nobody likes her?
Anyway, at first I hate her, but in later chapters she was funny...
Poor Eve, I liked Eve's part in the episode of A hole in the world.
 
It goes without saying that Eve had the potential to evolve into a pretty decent character....had the series had a chance to go on a little bit longer. I found her to be quite likable.

I really can't understand why a good majority of fans hated her....it's not fair to judge a character right off the bat like that, especially when one doesn't even KNOW the person.

Ah well, perhaps we might get to see a little more of her in future Whedon efforts....which I am confident WILL see fruition.

i dont know if i hated eve... dont think i had any feelings at all for her, she seemed soooo bland? but sarah thompson is soooooo sweet n funny :winking03
 
I loved Eve. Well basically, i love all the characters who are morally ambiguous (Angel, Lindsey, Faith, Lilah). Nothing but white hats and black hats makes for pretty cortoonish storylines.
 
I didn't like her at first, I didn't see why there was a need for her and it annoyed me for some reason, but she grew on me (like dawn in buffy) and I had actually began to wish she was in a lot more episodes, and I agree with Old Master III that if the show had continued on, we could've seen the character development of Eve.

but she WASN'T morally ambiguous... she was a "good girl" trying to be bad while convincing everyone she was a good girl... she was annoying!

I did hate her.
 
I am not a hard core fan of her but she had her moments. Was she a necessary character? It is obvious that her 'role' (being a so-called mentor) was essential, but here is the thing, this mission; being a false mentor or a 'true' mentor (mentors can be misleading as well even Yoda was) could be given to Lilah. She was trustworthy and untrustworthy at the same time, that would confuse the gang, but again it is easier to trust a known one than to build a trust with a newly known one (in an evil law firm especially).
 
I liked her, not that she's my favorite character, but I defenitely don't hate her. About if she was necessary or not, I don't really know, yea sure Lilah could have done the whole trust or not to trust issue, but Eve and Lilah are very different chacters otherwise, Eve doesn't have the kind of strenght that Lilah has.. And I don't see Lilah with Lindsey the way Eve was.
 
Hm yea, at first I thought Eve seemed pretty pointless as a character but I started liking her after a while and if the show hadn't been canceled I'm sure I would've liked her even more... Anyways, there's something about her that I like now, not sure why or what but there is.. Ah well..
 
I don't think that the character was really given a shot at the beginning of season five to be a likeable character. Eve came in and didn't really set up shop as being a solid, well-respected character for the season. Only until many episdoes later did we actually get to see deeper layers of the character, and ones that we could connect with.

I at first hated her, she bothered me. After all of her problems with fearing death and mortality, she became more stable to me. I saw her as a character who might actually have a storyline or something to look forward too. I agree that she would've have a different future if the series had continued.
 
I always liked Eve. From the first episode on she was one of my favourite characters. the only episode she annoyed me in was LOTP and that was Lorne
