Hey guys,

I've never been to a convention, 'cause they've never been organised in the netherlands. However, there's now one being organised like in this hotel... maybe 30 minutes from my house... by bike... Anthony is gonna be there and I'm thinking of attending... so what are they like?

Good question Allycat!

I've never been to one either and am curious. You would think there would be more of them in NYC 🙁

You should really go Allycat! Hehe. There are almost no conventions in Sweden, and definitely not in the North (where I live). I'll probably visit one in the UK some day but.. I've been wondering about this as well.. So please, those of you who have been to these things, is it as cool as I'm thinking it has to be?

Good call Ash. My guess would be fun but expensive - I've never been either btw. I would've liked to have gone to last year's Hallowe'en do in London though.

wow i would good! i've always wanted to go to a convention antonySH no lose there! :brick:

I read about one that was in Nashville TN last year, which is a heck of a long ways from me, I still kick myself a little bit for not trying to bet a bus ticket or something to try to get down there it couldnt have been more than 12 hour ride.

I've been to two where I actually saw the guests and stuff but mostly I go to party with my friends as they live down south and with me up in Scotland I don't see them as much as I would like. I was at one for new years eve and new years day but I never went to the talks or autographs, I saw them at the bar but was too busy drinking to get into it. Again it was really just to see my friends, i'm actually getting bored with conventions now, and its pretty expensive. There is only one guest i'd actually see again and thats George Hertzberg as he's the best i've seen.
