What are some of your favorite shows? (Non-Whedonverse)

Dexter has to be one of the best shows on TV right now. I can't wait for season 4, I wish it wasn't so far away. :'(

Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Bones and Lost I try to follow follow too! I'm not crazy about cars but Top Gear is really funny also.

I don't have a tv signal right now, but I love Dexter and Dollhouse. I just don't have time to watch new shows, I've got too many new dvds to watch. 😀

Happy Days, currently watching which is the fault of some hamburgerplace that came here that has same design, I like the show it's light material

Being Human! Still haven't gotten round to watching that, is it good?

And there are a couple more shows that I have to watch, but still haven't watched. Ranging from Flight of the Conchords to Firefly. I'm just too busy with, erm, doing not much, really.. : erm :

I used to be OBSESSED with Lost, like I had a notebook filled with theories. But I cant really get into this season...Oh well.
And I love True Blood, I recently read all the Sookie Stackhouse books, and they are really good! And the show stayed very true to the books, which was a surprise.

Of those still currently airing, I'd say HIMYM, DesHW, Heroes and Eureka. If it's ever going to be picked up again here, also Private Practice (even though I've given up on Gray's).

I don't mind zapping in (and get stuck for the ep whenever I do) with the Simpsons, Futurama, SW: The Clone Wars, Scrubs, Smallville or 4400 (the last one being badly mistreated by German TV, though), but I'm not really a follower of any of these.

Of older shows, I'll have to note Xena, Babylon 5, and Star Trek (TNG & DS9, mostly)... and quite a number of 80s comedy and cartoons hardly anyone will remember. 😉


OTOH, two massively hyped shows that I don't care about and have never seen a full ep of are Lost and 24.

Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, HIMYM, Doctor Who (my friend is getting me really into it, and I plan on starting Torchwood soon), Psych, Pushing Daisies, and True Blood are the main ones, and I'm starting to get into Supernatural. Ask me again two or three years ago and I'd probably include Heroes and The Office (US version), but now, I just watch the new episodes of Heroes on Hulu when I'm bored (and I still haven't been bored enough to watch the most recent one) and I don't even bother with The Office.

Now, the thread title says non-Whedonverse but I reckon I could make a pretty good case for a few of the shows already mentioned being part of the 'expanded' Whedonverse...like 24, Lost, Smallville, HIMYM, Bones, Supernatural and so on...Mutant Enemy alumni have been heavily involved in all of them and probably lots more...Joss's tentacles stretch far and wide across TV-land 🙂

Meanwhile, back on topic...Scrubs, the Doctor Who family of shows, The Simpsons, Futurama, Eureka, Heroes, My Name is Earl, Big Bang Theory, The IT Crowd, Being Human, QI 😉...and my number one guilty pleasure...Coronation Street 🙂
