What Are the Powers that Be? (Possible UK Spoilers)
You know what? I'm familiar with Allycat's the Senior Partners are the PTB theory, and I find it interesting. I just can't make it make sense. There's too many contradictions.
For instance why would the Vocah kill the PTB's oracles, and why would the Spirit of Cordy choose to work for an evil Power opposed to "Angel's Avengers".
I get the basics of the theory. There is no real black or white, good or evil, only shades of gray, still...
Nevertheless, I think I may have discovered a way to make it all make sense. It came to me when I got to thinking why does Hamilton have to honour contracts.
What if the Powers That Be are like this giant afterlife bureaucracy that govern the interaction between good and evil?
The Senior Partners wouldn't really be the Powers that Be, but they would work within the Power's system.
The PTB wouldn't necessarily be good or evil themselves, they would be more like government. It would be like law isn't always ethical, but it's always the law.
It's a theory anyway. Hopefully we'll know in a few weeks or so.
