Why not? We have watching, reading, doing, this was due to come. It has nothing to do with not knowing where to post this 😉

I've been cooking every day for almost 3 weeks now - this may not seem like a big deal to a lot of you, but it is for me - and taking pictures most days to share with my mom (cause I'm just so darn proud of myself!). After years of take-out and frozen meals, I'm actually eating food that tastes...well, it has actual tastes!

Well done :)

had to google Karbonade & potato lasagna
Bangers and Mash. 2 potatoes and a sausage, no need for a photo. The way I arrange my food would get it deleted anyway.

Chocolate covered strawberries. The rabbits think I should share.

Share with me, you mean, yum! :D
Last night, because I was sick, I didn't want to do any cooking. Luckily I went to the grocery store and found this bag of soup that I just had to pour into a pot with some water and it turned out delicious - pasta with spinach and cheese soup!

I have tuna, cheese and tomato toasties with a bit of mayo on white bread.

Chocolate covered strawberries are really easy, melt some cooking chocolate bits (the cheapest type works fine) in a pan or pot on the stove with a teaspoon or two of milk. Chop the tops of the strawberries off (feed them to bunnies) and dump the chopped strawberries into the melted chocolate 😀 eat warm or let them cool for harder chocolate.
I use wraps for the base of my mini pizzas, much quicker and easier 😛

Oh Octavia, sometimes you appear to be so stingy with stuff, chocolate bunnies, now that's a good idea.

And Spanky,
you are getting ahead of yourself, so take a backwards step and try cooking yesterday, lets see what Nix says about that? Knowing Nix though it'll be that yesterday was discombobulated after drowning itself in Baileys.

I can't get medically cleared for a job and live bumfek nowhere, I gotta keep costs low! Haha. It'll suck for me when they roll out basics cards cos food is where I save the most cash! I know that blogs that do recipes generally recommend the brands they are getting paid to promote, and its not always necessary to go for the most expensive. Sure, there are some brands better than the rest but it doesn't go for everything. My step-family are super fussy, you would not ever see them buy a budget brand or take short cuts, they are very judgemental of anyone who does ... So I started putting budget brands into expensive brand containers. They couldn't tell the difference and even complimented my hot chocolates as the best they have ever tasted... it was 'black and gold' cocoa LOL. Cant get any cheaper than that.

I am going on my supply run to restock tomorrow. So tonight has been mini pizzas/cheese and tomato sauce with herbs on white bread base (which we used to have as a treat as a child, I learnt well from my "stingy" single mother 😉 ) I'll be snacking from the pantry the rest of the night. After tomorrow, I will feast for a week 🤩

You know,

I was caning the gym for a while and trying to eat healthy.. However, since I was getting really tired at over-exerting myself I started to eat whatever I wanted for a week or so.

Today, from Morrisons, I had a big delivery of veggies and healthy stuff so now its back to eating good, wholesome food but I'm still not going to the gym.

I'm thus expecting to lose muscle mass but I think its worth it to have the extra energy and to get a little leaner is never a bad thing.

In terms of what you eat, in my opinion its all about how you feel during the day. Vegetables and lean meat really do the trick for my tastes.

Slow cooked Lamb and veggies. I fell asleep so it was in there for almost 12 hours lol. A tiny bit dry but will be great with gravy.

Last night I had another new recipe to try out:

Mini meatloaf wrapped in bacon with potatos, bearnaise sauce and broccoli

No picture, as the plate is already polished. No fancy meal, either, but one that made me happy: When I came home from work to a house where everyone but the hamster were sleeping, I found two cold slices of the frozen pizza the kids had for dinner waiting for me.

And then tonight it was this delicious and simple meal that I'm definitely gonna make again, soon; yum!

Damn this diet, the rice crackers just don't cut it in the culinary stakes ( I was tempted to put steaks there).
