So, I finally decided to check out Star Trek: Picard. I'm a Trekkie, have been for ages, but I heard so many bad things about the show, I avoided it.
After sitting through a few episodes, I began wishing that my memory could be erased. What masochistic urge drove me to this? Nothing made sense, it was pure fan service, period. Having the TNG cast together again was a lovely idea, yes. But my God, they looked soooooooo old. None of them should've been anywhere near a starship. I don't know if Starfleet has a rest home, but all of them should've been there.
I ADORE Patrick Stewart, but he looked like he was about to die at any moment. And the rest of them didn't look much better. 🥺 Also, why the hell was Seven of Nine there? Who wrote this crap?
(I could rant a lot more, but it would take a few more paragraphs)
Edit: The only cool things here? Seeing John De Lancie (Q) again. He's such an amazing actor, just blows me away. Same with Michelle Forbes (Ro Lauren), she's such a treat to watch.

Rewatching House of the Dragon S2 only for Rhaenyra, Oscar Tully, and the actual dragons. Caraxes, Vermithor and Vhagar... amazingly fierce (and moody) dragons. I love it when they eat people or set them on fire. Most Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon fans readily admit to being a bit bloodthirsty. I definitely am!
Daemon tripping balls at Harrenhall was even more mind numbing the second time around. Matt Smith is brilliant (as always!) but even he couldn't do much with those scenes. It was the Westerosi version of a hippie who took a lot of bad acid. 😅

I havent hate watched much. If i detest something i usually just stop or dont start. I gave up on game of thrones inspite of how well executed the meaningless mayhem was. And Outlander and the lovingly depicted rape fetish of the author just turned my stomach. Sometimes even 'high concept' fecal matter is still fecal matter.
Prolly the closest i got to hate watch was NCIS. The writing got so bad and i liked the characters less and less especially the lead who turned it into "his" personal show. I eventually weaned off after the nfa (ncis) fan site died and i no longer other had fans to keep me engaged.

Alone Australia. Its terrible this season. One dude just walked off. I am not sure if he was trying to seek asylum in Finland or if he was trying to eat a reindeer, but he got disqualified anyway. Another guy tried to catch fish by cutting skin off his feet and using it as bait. Three of the women left in fits of tears. Only one or two have caught enough fish to survive. Its basically a who can starve the longest contest, so of course the fattest dude is going to win it, thats if he can manage to do a poo and not get pulled for a bowel obstruction. Just no where near the level of the early US seasons. I will watch it out but I dont like it.
