What Are You Listening To? #10

I just stumbled upon Extreme Ways by Moby last week, I had iTunes on random and it came up, bought the album when it came out and dismissed it as poor immitation of his previous album Play and never listened to it again.

Anyway I'm addicted to it now, no other song sounds good enough at the moment.

I also couldn't think why it sounded weirdly familiar, then I Googled it and found out it plays at the end of EVERY SINGLE BOURNE FILM EVER!

That'll be where I've heard it then...!

What a legend... I'm still annoyed that I missed him when he came to my hometown some months ago.

I did some research and aparantly Lennon (the main writer) was later really embarssed about the message of domestic violence it sends out! Good to know I think. It is a very catchy song though, I love the Beatles, but when you think about this lyrics you get kind of sad 🙁

I can understand him beng embarssed about it. I in no way approve of domestic violence, but the song is really catchy.

John actually didn't like a lot of his Beatles songs. He later said in an interview that the majority of them were garbage, and he says that about some songs that I feel are some of his best!

You know that song that you can't just passively listen to? Like if everyone's talking in the room, you yell "Shut up!!!"? Like you have to stop everything you're doing, even if it's something extremely important, just to take it all in and experience the sounds? You just sit there with the thousand yard stare and just ingest every single word, as if that song was written specifically about you? Yeah, this song.
