Don't you always make fun of my taste in music, or lack of. lol. I have not seen A View To A Kill so I did not know that. I'm not a huge DD fan but I do like the songs I know.

Oh damn! Nothing gets past you does it!😛 We'll have to just wait until your next posting about music to see what I think of it then, I'm very finkle you know😉 And stop calling me old, otherwise the gloves will be off!😉

Oh and the song AVTAK much better than the film which is a turkey.

Oh ok. Haha. But your reactions are so funny!
While this day brought terribly sad news, it also brought absolutely delightful news: My favorite singer of all time, who has been in cancer treatment for the last couple of months, has been given the all-clear by his doctors! And their new album will be released this year! Up the Irons!

I used to be a huge Maiden fan back in the days - their music does nothing for me now but I'm happy they're still around. Stay heavy!

I love their old stuff as well as their new stuff, although their new stuff is completely different. And they're still killing it live. Absolutely amazing musicians.
Just saw Dave Edmunds live and now I'm playing some of his tunes...

Amazing musicians - that they are. I remember when "Brave New World" came out. I got it on a cassette a few weeks before the official premiere because the metalheads in my local - MediaMarkt was it - didn't give a shit. I listened to it so much the tape started actually wearing out. I loved this album. I tried listening to some Maiden again, last year I think, because they were playing a gig in my city and I could still appreciate the music but I just didn't feel it, you know what I mean? The emotional response wasn't there and so I never went to see them. Seventh Son is still their best album by the way. Blind Guardian is another band I loved at that period of my life. A Night at the Opera was another worn out tape. This one though - I still love it, still feel it. That album is ridiculous, it's like the best korn material, metal as all hell but with incredible songwriting and a lot of pop sensibility. Just hook, after hook, after hook, after hook for 60+ minutes straight:

I really like BG's early stuff and especially the Nightfall in Middle Earth album. Haven't listened to it in a long time, though. The newer stuff, in my opinion, is... meh.
June 11th can't come soon enough.

@EVIL UU It's difficult to pick a favorite Maiden album. I'd say my top 3 are Seventh Son, Powerslave and Piece of Mind.

segueing from Bad Religion was easier.. there's only one Jurassic band I know

Tool is without a doubt one of the best bands I've seen live...

Love this song.

oh no.. tool.. now I may have to stare at inanimate objects
actually now that I think about it she was playing Tool when I saw those things in the woods... fairly certain it was Lateralus though.

Giving the new Anti-Flag album a listen before seeing them next week. Doesn't seem to be a classic but hopefully it's a grower.
