That's funny, I just finished reading that series 🙂

I liked them. They weren't amazing or anything, there were a few things that bugged me about them, but definitely enjoyable. They are the kind of books I like to read when I don't want to "think" too much, ya know? Just pure entertainment.

I've just started Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I've read a bunch of Koontz's books, but I've never read the Odd Thomas series. I've wanted to try them for ages. So far so good 🙂

I really tried to get into it, but I just can't. Maybe it's because Gen kept telling how awesome the guy (Jericho) was - and just can't see how she finds him that cool - but I give up on it. I'm going to keep reading Anthony Horowitz books. Plus, romance book on Valentine's Day? Not my cup of tea...

Hmmm, yeah I don't know if I would call Jericho awesome exactly. He did grow on me though. I also wouldn't exactly call it a romance book either, more fantasy or whatever but I suppose it does come under the heading of "paranormal romance".

Paranormal romance is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I always end up wondering over to that section of the book store after I'm done browsing the horror section, haha. But there are some things there I just will not read, the ridiculous sex just makes me roll my eyes. Its porn disguised as an actual story.

Oh well, the fever series isn't for everyone. It's probably because it had been built up for you so much by your friend. She sold it too hard so you were bound to be let down, that always happens to me.
 
Going to be starting the Mortal Instruments series soon enough

I enjoyed the books currently out. Read the infernal devices series as well, its like a prequel series in early 1900s London or something like that.
Evil Star by Anthony Horowitz. It's the 2nd book of the Gatekeepers serie.
 
Bokk 3 in the Gatekeeper serie: Nightrise by Anthony Horowitz. Still as good 😀
 
I'm re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, only this time in Indonesian, so progress is quite slow 😀
 
Since I just recieved my copy of Amber Benson & Christopher Golden's "Ghosts Albion: "Accursed" today, I'm going to start that soon, and hold off on the Mortal Instruments books

Worth the while? I just finished pt 1 and I thought it was mostly filler and a little disappointing.

Now I'm reading "The idiot" by Dostotevsky and "pride and Prejudice" by Austen, I've never liked her books but I'm getting into them now 🙂

Stopped reading the Gatekeepers serie, it was becoming too weird for me.

I just started Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I guess it could be considered as a dystopian novel, since it's set about 100 years from now and love is considered as a disease (and people have to go under surgery to be cured when they turn 18) in the US.

Also, my bedside book at the moment is Dare to Dream: life as One Direction (I know, I know...)
 
The newest Richard Castle book, Frozen Heat. 😀

Speaking of Castle, it absolutely bothers me that 'his' Derrick Storm books are only in e-book form. :cry2:

Oh, it's worth it. The first half of that book (in the U.S. it's just published as one) takes a reread to really appreciate. I'm going through it again right now and I remember it being the weakest of the series from when I first read it. There are tons of little details though that I didn't pick up the first time around, and I really enjoyed the Griff/Young Griff story.

Plus, without spoiling a thing, the ending to "A Dance with Dragons" is pretty insane.

I was at the end of book 3 when I stopped. The twins were trying to get out of Nightrise's(sp?) grasp and one of them had been shot and was in some kind of dream world with the other Gatekeepers (his brother, Matt, Inti and the girl). With the other dream world and the real one, it just got too much for me. Which is sad, because I used to love Anthony Horowitz' books.
