haha that's a good question. I guess simply because I was in the mood to read DH and HBP and I just decided to keep going after that. Actually, I find myself doing that with a lot of book/movie serie. I'm a bit weird 😛
 
Well fair enough. I should probably read the Potters one day (it might take more than a day...) I think I'd enjoy them.

May I recomend to you the film Memento and the last verse of Sick 2 Def by Plan B if you don't mind a bit of ripe language (they're stories in reverse).
 
Recently finished "The fault in our stars" by John Green. I read it after losing a loved one and it was so thought provoking. I recommend!
 
I am actually reading two books at the same time which is very unusual for me. I'm still reading Game of Thrones, Steel and Snow Part One and Nanberry, by Jackie French. I've got a couple of Stephen Baxter books waiting too.
 
I'm in the middle of a few different ones.

Stephen Colbert's 'I Am America', Patti LuPone's autobiography, and Stephen King's 11/22/63.
 
I am in the middle of a few books as well.

"The Maltese Falcon" by Dashiel Hammet, a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, and I am starting "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie.

All for school, though the last two are the kind of books I'd usually read for pleasure too.
 
I'm reading "Lessons in Disaster: McGeorge Bundy and the Path to War in Vietnam" by Gordon M. Goldstein, which so far has been excellent. I'm a big U.S. history fan and the Vietnam War is one area of it I really don't know too much about.

Comic wise (I'm always reading a book and a comic series at the same time) I'm rereading "Brightest Day" by Geoff Johns. It's very good (just about everything Johns writes is good, no matter who he's writing about), but there are a few storylines I'm just not that invested in. All the Deadman/Dove and Firestorm stuff is great though.
 
I'm in the middle of the Gormeghast trilogy. Mervyn Peake could give Whedon a run for his money when it comes to... Minor general spoiler....

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Great novel mixing up history and Dracula's legend. Can be a little confusing at times, but you always end up knowing whose story it is (because at some point it's a story in a story in a story...)

I tried getting into this novel, but found it hard to. Will try again at a later time.

Reading Game of Thrones part one (still) and Steve Jobs biography.
 
Couldn't finish The Historian (that's the only bummer with library books, if someone else wants it you can't keep it for another 3 weeks). It was good but so damn long and hard to read....

Since the central library is closed on Mondays, I went to the small one next to my house. Found an adorable book called Rain by Kate Le Vann. Story of a 16-years-old who lost her mom and went to live with her grandma for the summer. Best part so far: the very-cute-but-annoying-guy-we-all-know-she'll-end-up-with is called Harry. (yeah, my 1D fangirl side is very happy with that) 😀
 
Call me by your name by André Aciman.
A romance about a teenage Italian boy and a Uni american teacher. It's one of the very rare books that is so brightly written you can almost feel what the characters feel, instead of only imagining it. I thought a gay romance might bother me at first but the writing is so good I barely notice.
 
I just finished Joyland by Stephen King. I liked it 🙂

Now I'm reading Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth. It's an historical fiction based around Rapunzel.

Bitter Greens sounds like my kind of book. I love historical fiction .
Decided to finally read Game of Thrones, after years of owning the first book. I tried to get into it before but its density was a bit much, and I thought I'd now have a better time with it after watching the tv series and getting a feel of the characters. The book feels very much like the extended version of the show, it's surprising how similar they are in tone.
 
Reading We Need To Talk About Kevin, just getting back into reading and attempting my goodreads goal!
