I thought we could have a thread for reading just like we have for music and tv shows where we can talk about what we're reading and also give our impressions.

I'm currently reading 3 things :

-Le Deuxième Sexe (vol. 1) de Simone de Beauvoir (Amazing, I should have read this years ago)
-Mockingjay from Suzanne Collins (reading it for the 2nd time, I love it!!)
-BtVS Omnibus 7 (I'm almost finished with this one)

What about anyone else?
 
Thanks for the reminder, I need to get more Omnibuses, I only own the first one.

Also, I'm about to get started on a book called Min Mors Hævn (My Mother's Revenge) written by, dun da dun, my mom 🙂 she was published a few months ago and I can't wait to get into it and show my support, I just haven't had time to do so yet. I'm excited, cause I know she's talented.
 
On and off, I am reading "Secrets of the Temple / How the Federal Reserve Runs the Country". How finance operates at the national government level when there is no hope of the debt ever being cleared is a fascinating subject.
 
I really, REALLY miss used bookstores! Especially A Change of Hobbit. I'd spend sooo much time wandering around, reading...it was heaven. 🙁
 
The Book of Fours...
Have a feeling it’s going to be one of those ‘epic’ Buffy novels that don’t really sit right with me?!
 
My book club one this month is The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, however I'm yet to start it!
 
Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls, and Everything in Between by Lauren Graham.

It's a cute, fast read. I only started reading it a few days ago and I've read about 70% of it.
 
I'm reading a ton of boring things for school, one of the courses I'm taking was a major misstep and the literature is uuuuggggghhhh...

One of the books I'm reading is written by a Swedish journalist and is about Martin Luther and the Reformation (fun fact, Luther was an enormous asshole), it's for school but it's still easily read and kind of fun.

To relax I'm reading La revolte des anges by Anatole France which I found in a used bookstore and am finding very entertaining, and soon The Chrysalids by John Wyndam.

I never really read biographies but I am really curious to read this one. The paperback is supposed to have additional chapters and I think it's been released so I might have to get a copy. "Cute and fast" sounds just like what I need 🙂
 
I would like to read Graham's book too. Not only do I love GG as a show but I think she's like the second coming of Diane Keaton. She has sick comic skills🙂

Right now I'm reading Murakami's short story collection Men without Women. There is a theme linking each story to do with men being along or having a absence in their lives. There's seven stories in all.

Next I will be reading Catcher in the Rye for the first time🙂
 
Re-reading Harry Potter. Currently on The Half-Blood Prince but dreading it. No Sirius, plenty of Dumbledore, teenage romance, Ginny and Draco obsessed Harry...
 

Once again, I'm reading his biography. Haha one of the greatest memoirs I've ever read, honestly. Even if you aren't a fan of The Red Hot Chili Peppers like I am, its still an engaging read.
 
Anatole France's "Revolt of the Angels" was amazing, maybe nothing for hardcore Christians but Supernatural fans could probably get into the fallen angels of it all

Currently reading the Divergent series, it is riddled with plotholes and so-so writing, but sometimes you just need an easy read that's entertaining enough! 🙂
On the side I'm re-reading the Brothers Karamazov, which was, is and will continue to be one of my faves
