it is a really interesting read, at least for now (finished first 2 stories)

All very good. Last book I finished was my October reading: an anthology of classic horror stories selected by H.P. Lovecraft.

Major Pettigrew's Last Stand, it's my book club one for the month and it's an easy read so I think I'll get it done.
 
I started reading Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett a while ago, but I'm quite busy at work. I am either too tired to read more than ten or twenty pages at a time or I can't concentrate because there's too much on my mind. But I'm about halfway through and am really enjoying it so far. My brother is a big fan of the Discworld novels and I already know some characters.
 
I'm about to give Queen of the Slayers another try, picking up where I left off at...(checking)...chapter 12.
 
I've just stared reading a graphic novel by the Hernandez brothers called Citizen Rex, it's about a reporter investigating a scandal which surrounds a celebrity robot which got decommissioned a while before.
I haven't gotten far enough to say anything about the story line but the art style is nice and the visual story telling is immersive and easy to follow which is a big thing for me when it comes to comics.

I'm around half way through it, and I'm enjoying it so far, I am going to have to reread The Northern Lights books afterwards though
 
The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. I re-read these at least once a year. Anne Rice at her best!

They combined it with Queen of the Damned for the film. I LOVED it! Stuart Townsend was amazing, and the soundtrack was beyond brilliant. And the concert scenes were stunning...hundreds of Aussie extras dressed goth.

I found it interesting that Anne objected to a black girl playing Akasha; but the director felt an ancient queen in Egypt should be a woman of colour... and I totally agree. They also left out Maharet's twin, Mekare, but Michael Rymer felt the twins' story would've been too complicated. And even though I did NOT like how Jesse was focused on so much, that film changed my life.

I know you like it. I don't. But... it's not Vampire Lestat and it was supposed to be originally.
 
No, I mean as far as I would have loved to see all of the human bits. It's been a long time since I have read it so bear with me. All the bits about him being in the mountains and the wolves hunting him (or him them, cant remember) I just remember thinking visually there were so many scenes that would really be majestic. And to go from that to a stadium rock show. I mean it would just be an epic movie.
