I'm reading Jessica's Guide to dating on the Dark Side. Sooooo addictive and Jessica is a great strong main female character! 10/10

I'm reading Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings right now. First time doing so, though I've seen the movie dozens of times. Some of it feels redundant just because I know parts of the story so well, but the writing is spectacular. 10/10

I'm listening to my Wheel of Time audio books again, trying to remember all the details before I read the latest installment. And I'm reading the first Vampire Academy book. Someone told me they're better than the Sookie Stackhouse books, but so far I'm not agreeing.

Fledgling, by Octavia E. Butler.

It's a vampire novel, but definitely not your typical one. There are several interesting science fiction twists on the old myth.

"What To Do When The Sh*t Hits The Fan" by Dave Black. It's a manual on what to do to be prepared for and to survive after various natural disasters. Unlike most books in the genre, it doesn't advocate assembling an arsenal or give instructions on how to make explosives out of common household products.

(And, no, I bought it BEFORE Haiti.)

Thirteen Reasons Why. I borrowed it off my friend, and I swear it's awesome. It's about this girl who commited suicide, but she left these types behind explaining the thirteen reasons why; which are all involving people, who the tapes are sent to. It's from the POV of the main guy, Clay, and the dead girl, Hannah, too. It's such a good book, I can barely put it down.

gonna give Anne Rice another go. I love the Vampire chronicles and Pandora, even Vittorio but the last couple of books I've read by her have made me SO disappointed (Merrick, The Vampire Armand, Blood canticle) so I've been wary. But I'm going to give Blood and Gold a whirl now, I'll hope for the best

FINALLY finishing Stephen King's "Lisey's Story" after avoiding the book for months, I've just started reading J.R.R Tolkien's "The Children Of Hurin". The book got mixed reviews so I'm a little wary.

Christopher Tolkien's Introduction may have ruined the whole story for me, though.........

^ I meant I hate the intros thing - not the book. Not read it, but I imagine I'd find it very hard to hate anything by Tolkien.

I'm reading The Jungle Book. Not as good as the Disney film! 😛

I was sleeping over at some friends' place, and in the morning when I was up way earlier than them again I checked out their bookshelf and just couldn't resist it 😀 Never read it before, but I've heard good things about it. Currently on page 50.
