What are you reading? - Volume Two

I thought I'd try Matthew Reilly's 7 Deadly Sins and its sequels.

Do you mean Seven Deadly Wonders? :) It's called Seven Ancient Wonders here, and it's a great book. So are the sequels. And any Matthew Reilly book, for that matter :)
I'm actually reading "The House of The Spirits" by Isabelle Allende and also "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton..I love reading!
 
I've been re-reading "Tales of the Slayers 3" and (a not as amusing but very interesting) giant book about Sport and exercise psychology

Haha, so do I 🙂 But I downloaded the audiobook, so I'm slowly getting through it. Are any other Jane Austen books worth reading?
 
I'm currently reading "Soulless" by Gail Carriger, the first in a series. It's set in a steampunk-ish Victorian London where vampires and werewolves are part of the high society. The narration is hilariously fantastic. It has gems like these, "To put the pudding in the puff: [Our heroine] had retreated to the library, her favorite sanctuary in any house, only to happen upon an unexpected vampire." and "[Flamboyant vampire] also seemed to speak predominantly in italics." So, yes, I'm having a lot of fun with this. xD
 
I've nearly finished reading Chuck Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters. I'm thinking about starting The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera next.
 
I'm just getting started with Bram Stoker Dracula right now, and in between that re-reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Dracula is one of my all time favorite books. It's brilliant!

I'm re-reading Shelley's "Frankenstein" just because I found a really beautiful edition
 
"WerewolveSS" by Jerry Ahern. It's a Nazi SS unit that are werewolves (it's kinda refreshing to read something where werewolves are actually monsters, as opposed to the current trend)
 
I was reading this one book called Geek high by piper banks it was a cute little book but now I am on to upper class by Hobson Brown.
 
Recently I have been reading the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. The series has 5 books out so far with the sixth coming out in December.
I have really been enjoying the series, it doesn't have the wit of the Buffy series but it is very good.

I thought the Twilight series of books was good and entertaining. I think the Vampire Academy series is even better. The characters in the VA series aren't annoying like some of the characters in the Twilight series. I think the plotlines in each book are a little more involved and the entire series doesn't center around a love triangle that can get old sometimes when the book is pages and pages of exposition about how torturous it is to love to men/monsters at once.

I would highly recommend the Vampire Academy series to fans of the genre.
