I just finished Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which I enjoyed but it feels like it needs a continuation, because you're kind of left hanging.

Today I started the Hunger Games, which seems more interesting than the trailer for the movie so that's promising 🙂

I just read "The Landlady" by Roald Dahl after two of our lovely members found it for me! I was reading it from an analytical/studenty point of view though, so it was less enjoyable than it normally would be :/

I'm reading the newest Temeraire book, 'Crucible of Gold', and I'm really enjoying it do far. If you haven't read the Temeraire series yet, you should - the Napoleonic Wars but with dragons! It's great. 😀

No Easy Answers. It's about Columbine, written by someone who was friends with the two who committed the massacre, and it's really, really interesting. I just started it yesterday.

Just finished the Buffy novel "Child Of The Hunt" and the Resident Evil "Umbrella Conspiracy" novel

Naked Heat - Richard Castle

I am a big fan of Castle. I really enoyed the first book, Heat Wave. 🙂

Reading two books at the minute:

The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne and Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. Definitely prefer the latter to the former but they give quite a contrast in terms of their attitudes towards women and how society was so different between the two countries.

I'm reading "To my mother, my first teacher", by Fernando Savater. An essay about the value of education.

I just re-read Toeckey Jones' "Skindeep" as I happened to walk past a $2 second-hand copy, remembering how it shook me as an early teenager. Now I've picked up "The Graveyard Book" again after mislaying it when I was halfway through. Next in line is "Dei svarte hestane" ("The black horses") by Tarjei Vesaas.

[MENTION=8715]miromurr[/MENTION] I like it a lot! Savater is a spanish philosopher and intellectual, I really like his thoughts on the matter of education...one of the things I agree more with is that primary school teachers should be more socially recognized.

I finished The Hunger Games (enjoyed it much more than I thought I would) and now I'm on to A Game of Thrones. It's pretty much what I've seen in the tv pilot so far but it's well written 🙂
