Veronica Mars Season 4

Pick of the Litter: interesting documentary that follows a litter of puppies being trained to become guide dogs for the blind. I only wish it had been longer than 81 minutes.

Schitt's Creek S4: so far not quite as good as previous seasons, but still enjoyable

Twilight Zone (original) S4: the only hour-long season, and so far, most of the episodes seem like they would have been much better as 30 minutes.

Under the Banner of Heaven - on Hulu
It's all about a murder that involves a Mormon family starring Andrew Garfield and some other really decent (or at least recognizable) actors. It's a pretty good murder investigation story, but it's really all about the Mormon religion with flashbacks to Joseph Smith, which is interesting because I didn't know much about the religion. Garfield is good in the role.

Stranger Things s4 I'm still working my way through the season 4 but it's good so far. It's been so long, I've forgot a lot about the other seasons, but I enjoy these characters.

Batman The Animated Series Season 1 (1992)

First time watching this and so far really enjoying it. A really satisfying noir style Batman show, with some nicely playful humour, but also decent character depth. Great music and strong animation.

Paper Girls (Amazon Prime)

Two episodes in and I'm liking it a lot. The cast are really good and have good chemistry. It has a decent style, intriguing plot. Also a nice mix of dark humour with a sweeter moments. The future tech stuff is really amusing too. "What's the Internet?" line almost broke me 😀. Some darker themes too.

Watched this weeks episodes 9 (The Pied Piper) & 10 (Holding Hands Can Wait) of Extraordinary Attorney Woo
The 9th episode may have been the weakest yet, but it was still pretty darned good! However, the 10th was one of it's best!

It's a cute , charming , nicely constructed show . It's packed full of feels but maybe a bit short in meaning ? Bit of a mixed bag with the portrayal of autism , but the 'savant' scenes are a highlight .

Twilight Zone, the '80s series, S1. Not as good as the original series, and goes more for odd situations than twist endings, but has some great cast and crew. Wes Craven directed some episodes, and Harlan Ellison wrote and produces several.
