Just finished S3, and you're exactly right. It was so great to see all the original characters and how they all got to have some character growth specifically because the show did not have to spend time introducing them.

I think @Mr Trick recommended it, which got me back to watching it after I had given up after S1. My only complaint was the increased focus on Jack at the end, because I didn't care about him.
For instance, at the end, Starfleet is decimated and all major cities of the Earth destroyed, but Jack survived, so, full of wins!!😁👍
 
Started this new show called Missing: Dead or Alive? on Netflix. I need to stop watching so much reality TV… ._.

Thinking of starting Falling Skies or Sabrina, considering I get told I look like her all the time

So I started Falling Skies.

Not bad, actually. The effects are so cheesy and some elements of the show are admittedly super low budget, but it comes together alright so far. I’ve heard it falls off HARD after the first two seasons, but I’ll probably watch them all for Will Patton. One of my favorite actors for sure.

The only thing I don’t love about the show is the whole thing feels so hopeless that I have no idea why anyone is even around anymore!

It falls off, not sure how hard. Guess it depends on how invested you are in the characters. The entire premise of the show more or less changes... somewhat.
 
Emergency. Its scary how much they miss on X-rays and then go to CT and find all these things wrong! They just had a horserider who fell into a fencepost, x ray was clear. CT show she'd smashed all her ribs on one side and partially collapsed her lung! How many times I went after a fall and they said yeah nah nothing on the xray, back to work... No wonder they never let me see the CT scan results years later! Docs fruck up a LOT!

Already there’s been some puzzling decisions. I don’t like to nitpick this stuff, but as an apocalypse/dystopia nerd, this is the sort of thing that bothers me.

In Episode 6, Anne (the doctor) gets robbed of medicine that she says took months to accrue. In response, Maggie gives her a gun and is like “hey I’ll teach you how to use that”.

With how uptight and by the book Weaver is…why on earth is the doctor with this vital medicine not only completely unarmed, but completely incapable of using a firearm? Why isn’t the medicine at least guarded? The medicine stockpile and food stockpile should be under armed supervision 24/7. But here comes some goober with a handgun and she’s all “just take the medicine, don’t hurt anybody”.

The thieves also stole the meds “because we’ll need something to trade”.

….with who??? I get the idea is other humans, but they have 0 reason to believe random pockets of humanity are even around aside from the Mass, and I doubt the military would take kindly to you stealing from what is essentially another unit. Like in Walking Dead they usually establish more than 1 society at a time for the viewer. Here it’s just the one. So who is the trade intended for?

Just strange. Had me scratching my head because it felt like nobody really thought that bit out at all.
 
Netflix told me it had CSI available, but it was only the last few seasons. So I picked an episode at random to watch, might watch more as I didn't bother much with the non Grissom years originally.
