Sisi: Austrian Empress: story's a little bland, but sumptuous costumes and settings.
Miss Friman's War: enjoyable show about 1900's Swedish feminists.

Ted Lasso - S3

@Stake fodder - "Station Eleven: interesting post-apocalyptic series, though I felt it needed more time to do all the plot threads justice".
I read the book earlier this year and loved it. I didn’t realise they had done a TV version - will have to check it out

Still running through Sailor Moon.

The show can be so good and so bad on queer issues at the same time. Of course it's a product of the early to mid 90s, but it can still give you serious whiplash at times. There's one episode where a girl gives Sailor Moon a love letter to pass onto a boy, and Sailor Moon misunderstands and thinks it's intended for her. And her response is so compassionate and sincere (she responds that she already has a boyfriend, she doesn't at all recoil at the idea of a girl courting her, and she lets her down very gently); then in the next sentence she says, "Besides, it's better to date boys anyway!". Even though Sailor Moon herself has been portrayed as definitively bisexual to this point. She goes from incredibly sensitive to openly homophobic in the span of like 10 seconds.

In another episode, Haruka (an openly lesbian character) seduces Makoto (to this point mostly portrayed as straight) as part of her mission and the other characters all admonish Makoto for possibly considering being with a girl. This is despite all the other girls openly declaring their attraction to Haruka and Sailor Moon also declaring her attraction to Haruka's girlfriend. When the other girls are discussing it they all mock the idea, but then Sailor Moon pulls out some apparent female erotica Rei (Sailor Mars) had under her bed and makes fun of her for it.

Overall it's still miles ahead of most early to mid 90s media on the subject, especially with Haruka and Michiru's relationship being portrayed as such a positive and strong thing throughout the run. But it almost seems like they made the core cast too queer and were told by some execs somewhere to dial it back. At least four of the five main Sailor Guardians could easily be interpreted to be bisexual, with two of them making overt romantic overtures towards other girls throughout the series. Even Tuxedo Mask is portrayed in a young romance with another guy in the Sailor Moon R movie. But then they're still portrayed as sometimes shaming or admonishing each other for expressing any queer leanings. Like I said, whiplash.

Just started the 4th season of Only Murders in the Building. I love this show, the 3 leads are so great together!
Only 4 eps into The Rings of Power season 2, so far it's better than season 1.
Also enjoying Agatha All Along on Disney plus.
