Black Doves episode 1

Solid first episode. Ben Whishaw is very good as the deadpan assassin. Some of the personal stuff is a bit bland, and there are some soy cliches, but I’m down to check out more.
 
The Postie. Technically a Christmas movie. Just a really short one!

Motherland (2016) Season one. Enjoying it!

Anthony Head is in season two playing Julia's husband.

Speak No Evil: The 2024 re-make. Uh-oh, they seem to have entirely missed the point of the original European one. This one kinda stinks.


Dune I and II: Epic, sweeping and beautifully shot I still find this doomer sci-fi epic fundamentally stilted and soulless. Meh, I always thought Herbert was over-rated.

I know the internet at large adores these movies, but the book bored me to tears 3/4 of the way through. I’ll get around to watching the films at some point, but it is gonna be a struggle to care when the book did the ludicrous time skip that had a ton of important development just completely ignored.
 
It's a Wonderful Life - I've seen it often enough to poke holes in some of the plot. For instance, would they really let you off an embezzlement charge just because your friends paid back the money? Whatever, I still love it. I met "Zuzu" once!

I liked the Dune movies better than the book, though I read it when I was a teen and didn't quite "get" it.
