I'm not sure where to put this, a fanmade pilot for a Captain Sulu series...it would appear that they even got the actor to play his older self, but maybe that's just a trick.

I think this ep-length episode is better than many Star Trek eps (though not all of them), so I'm sharing. I have it start with the ep, cutting out the first 3 minutes of introduction by a creator:


A very little about it:

It starts with an older Sulu before flashing back to a transporter accident in the ST: TOS in which he was trapped in another dimension, and lives a life (30 years) in just a minute before they get him back, now a lot older (and having become somewhat barbaric to survive). They need him younger again to get what they need to escape the dimensional fissure slowly destroying them, and that's all I'll say on it.
 
I tried Independence Day: Resurgence yesterday and was only able to get halfway through it. I checked wikipedia to learn the one thing I was curious about, and it didn't encourage me to watch more.
 
La Palma. Its aiming for suspenseful but its hit frustrating. I thought it was going to be a movie.
 
A Christmas Carol (1984) with George C. Scott. David Warner is so appealing and sympathetic as Bob Cratchit in it, that I really wonder why he didn't get to play more good guys.
