Killjoys Season 4 . I am loving this rewatch . Killjoys is a fast paced space opera , with cyberpunk leanings . It's quite funny .
My Killjoys online experience mirrors other SY FY type shows like Wynonna Earp . I saw the first couple of seasons on Netflix/Prime , then had to steal the rest after it disappeared from licit sources 🙄 . At least the DVDs are cheap now . I would rather have the hardcopy than fanny about with Putlocker sites .

I just skipped right to it. It's amazing at how well it works as a standalone, at least in the early eps where I'm at (they explain what needs to be explained). I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. I thought I'd skip over a lot, but so far I haven't done that at all! (I probably will in some later eps.)

And I'm reminded how I got to appreciate Spike again, and how Fred became my favorite character (while I liked her before, she was at the bottom of the list for liked characters until she defied Jasmine, and then in season 5 she rose to the top of the list and stayed there).

I expect season 5 was a lot more fun to write for and act in than earlier seasons.

I did that a lot back in my twenties, which might make some think that it's my favorite season when it isn't, but it does work well for if you just want to watch one season only. Back when my sister had her first baby, she borrowed my S5 DVD set and watched it whenever the baby was napping, during her maternity leave 🙂

Anyway, what am I watching? High Potential and Found and absolutely loving them both 😀
 
So, I just spent four days at home with a nasty stomach flu, so I watched a few movies. One was called "Never Been Kissed" (1999), and I'd reccomend it. I love re-watching movies from the 90s. So nostalgic. It was fun - a sweet smart romantic comedy. I don't know where you can stream it, I watched it on DVD. Here's the trailer:

Disney+ has it in the UK. I can be a bit of a sucker for romcoms.

First, hope you are feeling better! Second - I like NBK, it's a cute movie. Can feel a bit weird considering the content but I try not to over-analyse that.

Haunt (2019)
I won't lie, this had some effective moments; a likeable cast, some nice tense moments, some creepy bad guys, ('Would you like to see what I look like, under my mask?') and quite a bit of satisfying payback. The abusive boyfriend stuff felt shoe-horned in (he turns up in the 3rd act just so he can be brutally murdered) and he wasn't really needed for the Final Girl's character arc to be coherent.

Watched the other two parts of Fear Street as well...
 
This Is Going To Be Big. A doco thing about school kids doing a play about John Farnham. Could be fun to sing along to.
 
Southern Hospitality. Some people are just made for that kind of job. I am not.

Hospitality can be an okay job if you do not have to interact with customers. There was a reason I worked in a kitchen, not waiting tables, as a teen...
Alien: Romulus

Well, there were certainly some really icky bits in this film. And how Andy changed was creepy in its own right. Plus the xenomorph that spawned seemed utterly sadistic, toying with its prey.
 
Yellowstone . Little bit underwhelmed by this . It's very watchable but can't say I'm enjoying it much . Overhyped or just not my thing ?
 
Nythical on YouTube, she started reacting to Buffy three weeks ago so I'm checking her out. Like her so far.
 
Twin peak : season 1 episode 3

Disappointing. That’s not terrible. I was expecting far better than this. I’m gonna watch 2 more episodes to have a solid opinion but this show is nothing exceptional. I will probably put it on my list « show that people rates on top/higher much ». There are only 2 seasons after all, should have tell me something.
 
Celebrity Bear Hunt on Netflix. Bear Grills chases "celebs" though a jungle. Im about 3 minutes in. Higher stakes Imma celeb without the big brother reality bit maybe? I will binge the lot Im sure.
