Love is blind UK. I feel this show would be a lot cheaper if they were just chatting on landline telephones in their own homes. The reveals take far too long. Just open the bloody door. Not for me.

Switched over to The Ultimatum - Marry or move on. I like the concept haha there are a lot of time wasters out there. The hosts are those truly terrible types - pop psych soft speak "thankyou for sharing that with the group". Attempted classy love trash tv, still trash but its gona work for me today. Much better than MAFS! Less nails and screaming so far, thankfully.

The problem I have with this show is that with its US incarnation, the participants are traditionally attractive people.

Like the entire idea of the show leads you to believe this is for unattractive people to show looks don’t matter, not for models and actors to be as successful as they would be normally in the shallow dating scene

Yeah, one lady was convinced her dude was going to be bald. This was not a show for anyone old enough to be bald. They go on knowing they are not going to end up with a fug.

It is fascinating watching theses shows now vs 20 years ago. Blondes are out. It's a lot of brown eyes, brown hair, dark features now. I wouldn't consider the current trends attractive to me, but they are also all 10 years younger than me too.

Dubui Bling has one of the most beautiful looking reality casts - but they are only that beautiful because they literally planned and purchased their faces and features. Its weird how much flack actors used to cop for even being suspected of having plastic surgery, but its absolutely expected for even the lowest tv now.

It’s so weird how it’s all changed, and all largely thanks to the media.

We went from people being shamed for having plastic surgery to now you are not just expected to have it, but are judged if you do not. “Oh she could use a nose job for sure”, the tabloids say, completely unaware of the fact that 10 years ago they would’ve dragged someone through the mud for a nose job.
 
While I still have HBO (which I got only for Last of Us) I saw Game of Thrones. At least most of 3 seasons, a little into season 4. I honestly don't know how to rate it.

While good in some ways, I just did not care for it because there were few who were sympathetic or for me to care about, and toward the end of season 3 I was skipping over several parts just to keep up with the few characters and arcs that interested me. If I don't root for the characters then what's the point?

It also got more predictable as I got used to it, though it still managed to shock me a bit from time to time.

Tyrian had grey morality. I was told it was filled with that, but I'd say too many of them have little to no morality (as opposed to pragmatic grey morality which could cause some internal conflict of conscience), little different from sociopaths. Why do I care what happens to them? It's a hell dimension.

Maybe I'll try it again someday, but at the moment I'm burned out on it. I guess I'm sharing here because I'm thinking of how to word it to those who were sure I was going to love it. I can see why some do love it, but it was not for me.


Still, it would be fun to see some of the demons from Pylea end up in Westeros. 😛

I read some of the novels - still can't get the series - and lost interest after pretty much everyone I actually cared about had died.
Watching debut WWE Raw on Netflix. Solid show overall but the random Hogan cameo sucking up to fans (who booed him, read the room Hulk it’s California they don’t like you ☺️), and trying to sell beer was surreal 🤣

Really quite fond of this Aussie/Netflix production . Good martial arts , quippy comedy , strong cast .
 
Finished the Jerry Springer documentary, I think it could have easily had another episode to it. However I do feel like had Jerry still been alive then it would have been a different documentary.

Yeah I wanted more! And agreed, would have been different if he was still alive.
The Order (2019ish? ) . Netflix 2 season wonder . Decent young adult supernatural show. Secret magic societies , werewolves ...the whole bit 😉 .
