Restarting Vampire Diaries from the beginning. Kevin Williamson’s writing in the pilot really set the stage for a solid first season. I remember the first two seasons as being hella good. And then the next two still good, but not quite the mark the first two were, and then slowly going downhill. lol.

I remember I got about as far as the season after the Travellers took over the town. I got so horrendously bored that season that I just stopped watching. The plot about the anti-magic “magic force field” around the town was also just really stupid in my opinion.

The first two are really great but then Elena turns into a vampire and it’s all just a slow decent into madness from there
 
I’m going to try Shameless again. The last time I tried to watch it, I dropped it because it felt like it enjoyed wallowing in self-pity and bad decisions. I just didn’t like watching a show that really had nothing to say other than, “Wow look at how poor and morally bankrupt these people are. Now, feel bad for them.”

First episode was alright, more fun than I remembered. We’ll see how it shakes out.
 
Chicago Med s9. Trash, but its free. And I am actually liking this season because all my screaming about the harms of antidepressants and psych meds has finally made it to mainstream tv!

This season alone they had a dude with a metabolic syndrome from Seroquel (like me), a lady who slept walked into suicide (almost me) and now a guy whos gone manic on his ssri (like me). Plus a guy who had a lobotomy and everyone actually feeling sad about it. Unfortunately I didnt turn out well like the doctor who got off his meds to wealth and success, I turned out more like the guy who had the lobotomy.

Finally sat down and watched Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3

It was better than I thought it would be, for sure. Does have its issues, namely some characters just sort of “being there”, but with a cast this large that was bound to happen. Definitely one of the few enjoyable Marvel movies post-Endgame.
 
LOST Season 1

Amazing that this debut season is nearly 20 years old. The early episodes do a great job of setting up the intrigue with the characters and the mystery. It is so gripping too. A stand out moment from episode 2 is Locke’s Backgammon speech.

I'm rewatching, too, just finished S2. I still do the John Locke move of stretching my arms out when it rains!
